PeepsII-The Hot, Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Feb 2010. 12/2-Part 2 has begun.

I am very proud of you, Jordan, for taking the day off and heading to DtD! I can't wait to see Disney's new "green" merchandise -- they had some of it back in June, but from the display photo it looks like there is new stuff.

:cool1: for WELL EARNED AND DESERVED day off!!

and now the real question is...

what did you buy?

How nice it must be to be able to drive over to Downtown Disney and walk around World of Disney on an ordinary day! :)

It's interesting to hear that you have friends who are all into Asian things. I have a Korean-born son, so I sort of perk up when I see things from there, but he couldn't care less.

I hope things work out that you can be happy, productive, and get what you need from your job.

I'm at work right now and someone is hogging the copier that I need to get work finished....:confused3 What can you do.

I forget that I can experience a little bit o magic anytime I want...it's so close to my house....

I'm jealous that you could just pop into Downtown Disney for the afternoon! Although if you're not on vacation, I'm sure it is a much different experience.

Yay for a day off! Now you have to figure out how to get more of those! :thumbsup2

I may have Saturday off!

It does seem different just to got there when I'm not on vacation. However, stepping into the World of Disney definitely made me feel like I was somewhere else. That somewhere else being WDW!!!!:cloud9:

I would LOVE to be ablke to go to DTD Disney like that. It helps you get a little fix when you need it!:goodvibes

We just sat on a bench for awhile. It was soooo nice and peaceful..not alot of people........

That is so not fair that you can just pop in to DTD. I'm so jealous. And it wasn't crowded. Could it get any better?

Glad you enjoyed your much needed and earned time off.

Yeah for a day off!

I'm still really tired.!

Careful of the onions.

You know, I thought about that. It seems that only Red Onions really give me issues. There were green onions in the chopped salad and it didn't seem to bother me that much. I think the crumbled blue cheese was more the issue.;

There were a couple of great shirts that I want to buy. I'm gonna save the purchases until I'm at WDW...just feels better when you buy on vacation for some reason.

Ahhhh, a trip to Downtown Disney. :cloud9:

Uh oh....flight nightmare?! :scared1:

DTD at Disneyland is what I wish DTD at WDW was like. It feels more like a true little downtown area.

Flight nightmares coming up

:cool1: for WELL EARNED AND DESERVED day off!!

what did you buy?

I bought some gift cards....I have been delinquent in purchasing the gift cards for the winners of the contest I had last month. I finally had the time and motivation to get the job done!

They went out in the mail this morning. I tried to purchase them and send them online...that's a whole other story....

It was absolutely dead. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen it like that before. I think this just reinforces what some people say about DTD at WDW. Go during the day early in the week. I may have to look at my itinerary again and schedule DTD earlier in the week......

Maybe I'll stop by there again today! Sorry, don't mean to rub it in.

I am glad you got a day off and are working shorter days. A trip to DTD-how fun. We are really hoping to go to DL after Christmas. I need something before my next trip-8 months to go...

Remember it's the busiest time of the year.

Well good for you Jordan...taking a little r & r break...:cool1:

Wow-you can just pop into DTD Disneyland...I do love it there DL-although its smaller it has a definite charm...:goodvibes

I'd be tempted to be there all the time...

(where are all the people-the weather looks simply gorgeous...hmm maybe everyone was there during the D23 Expo and gone now? I wonder if the parks were like that too?)

the Disneyland park hours were 9-6pm on Monday when we were there. It seems like it was dead in the parks. I think Los Angeles city schools started on Monday.

....

We go to DtD every trip and last week it felt and looked a bit different to me. 'Course we usually stick to the marketplace area, but we walked down to DQuest and it was very "citywalk"ish feeling to me. Not like it was before PI at all. I do not know what all that changed, but lights hang across the "streets" and it is kinda cool from the last time I was there(2/08).

I am there with them, Jordan! How COOL to go to DtD any time!!

Thanks for the info about DTD at WDW. We'll be going to DisneyQuest this upcoming trip so we'll get a chance to see for ourselves. I haven't walked through PI since 2005 so it'll be interesting to see how that's changed as well.

I forget sometimes how much I like just going to DTD to hangout. We used to go to ESPN Zone all the time for football and hockey....it may have to become a Monday staple again! I shouldn't take it for granted.
