PeepsII-The Hot, Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Feb 2010. 12/2-Part 2 has begun.

Wow! I guess I got lost! I finally found your trip report again and I plan on getting "all the way" caught up tomorrow.

Whew! You've been busy. I enjoyed your pictures of China. My parents have been to China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Korea.

Looking forward to following this trip report right into the 2012 trip report. :rotfl:

I'm going to be at DLR for 2 days in January. Can't wait. I've never been there.

I'm glad I found your report again. Looking forward to keeping up, this time!

Hello Jordan!

OKW looks so wonderful. I bet you'll be very happy there. The updated plans are GUD! :thumbsup2

Are you having any rebounds of sickness? I mean from the flu not the drinking. :lmao:

Hey Jordan, I have a strange question for you. Have you ever gone to see Terry Fator in Las Vegas? We watched the dvd of the live show last night and I swear if you weren't there your twin was. They showed a guy in the audience and I said, "Hey, that looks just like Jordan!" He really did look like you so I just had to ask.

Hey, I'm back from our trip and all caught up again on your PTR!

Congrats to the two winners of the contest!! A very nice prize! :thumbsup2

Your AZ trip sounded....interesting. Glad your new buddies were able to fill in the missing details for ya the next day.

Sounds like you made a good choice with the move to OKW! It truly looks beautiful from what I have seen and read, and the boat ride to DTD is so relaxing. Plus, DTD is a hub for other resorts in case you have meals at various resorts, pretty handy.

We had a brief visit to AKV Kidani...WOW. Soooo pretty. However, if you are in Jambo house, and you want to avoid the bar, it might not be such a good situation with that pretty little Victoria Falls... If you were in Kidani, it's a further trek, so less of a temptation...

Hi Jordan!

I know I'm late, but better late than never, right? I followed you over from Jenny PTR/TR. I've spent the last week getting caught up. I've got to say I've loved every minute of it. What a great PTR! I'm sorry I've missed out. It's taken me so long because I love the banter. I'm going to try and tackle your 2008 trip but I'm going to skip that banter.

We stayed at Pop in June. Do you know what section you're requesting? The reason I ask is we stayed in the 50's I read where you like to do mid-week laundry. There's a dryer in that section that ran and ran and ran. Hopefully they haven't fixed it yet.

Wendy if you're out that your kids are so beautiful. You are truly blessed. I can see why Jordan enjoys babysitting them.

Okay so I'm strapped in and ready for the rest of the PTR and the TR!

I am down whenever for a DL meet. However, work is crazy so it's hard to get time off to meet up.

Yeah, I'll probably keep the waitlist for now.

Dudes...figure that out and I'm in if I can swing it! Mondavi wine garden or bust.

:)

Hi there - thanks for the compliments... the fact that I find them cute too probably lets them get away with more than they should  but as their mother they can't always pull the cute card on me. I'm a toughie sometimes... ha ha. :rolleyes1

Hold on to your hats and glasses... this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness...!!!

Ha ha.

p.s. jordan's been working a lot so he hasn't been DISing... hopefully soon. 142 more days for us... he's also been working on itineraries, planning for 2012 and i'm planning for Alaska 2011~~ whooooooo hoo. i'm so excited.

Bumping from page 3-unacceptable. Hope you are having a good weekend.

It's been crazy! I will explain shortly

I have not been to Vegas in 5 years. Vegas and I are like Oil and Oil. Too many vices for me. So I stay away. I should ask my mom if I have a twin that was given away at birth...;)

It is better late than never fo sho!

I stayed in the 50s in Feb 08. What are the chances that the dryer is still running!:thumbsup2 Here's to hoping...

Good luck with the previous PTR/TR..it's a beast.

Bars and I are like moths to the flame.;)

I will still have a beer or drink once in awhile, but I have NO desire to re-visits my 20s....too old for that now.

I can't wait to stay at OKW. I kind of hope my AKV waitlist doesn't come through. I'll be happy either way.

Your kids are beautiful! Wow Alaska! Are doing a cruise or just a trip? Either way I have always heard great things about it. My Aunt and Uncle have taken their motorhome all the way from down here to there twice. They loved it.

I'm on part 2 of the last trip. I do have a question? Do you have anything against LSU fans? You do realize they will be surrounding you on this trip too? Mardi Gras falls during the end of your trip. At least they make good drinking buddies.

When we went for Mardi Gras in 2004 we were surrounding by purple and gold. Of course being from Baton Rouge, La we loved it.

Chapter 28. I almost walked out.

Sorry to all my DIS friends! In fact, I think many of them are at WDW right now and I missed their sendoffs:confused3

I never thought working at a church would be soooo...how do I say this........soooo.....hmmm....so difficult. I guess that's the most PC way to say it.

These last 2 weeks have tested my patience. I work for a wonderful Senior Pastor who has a heart of compassion. HOWEVER, she's a control freak. The need to control gets worse when she feels stressed. These last 2 weeks she has been up in my business like a gerbil up...well you get my drift. At one point, she did something that any HR manager would cringe at. I almost walked out.

I finally got 4 leaders in the church to discuss my concerns and now things are getting better at least from my perspective.

However, don't you think it's bad when you leave the house before your roommates are up and you get home after they are asleep? It's only going to get worse as we are starting a new classroom addition here at church. I'm going to be the only staff person here during the week and may have to lengthen my hours...yes I said lengthen.

I'm sure getting sick will be somewhere in my near future as I work til I drop; get really sick and then start the cycle all over again.

I'm at work right now and have no desire to do any work. It's 10am now and I'll be here til 11 tonight, although I will get a break to go to Starbucks for a few hours.

Anyways, there's my long-winded explanation for why i've been MIA lately and it may be a few more days until I have a break as I'm helping with a funeral here on Saturday from 9-4pm then have youth stuff going on from 6:30-10:30pm......

Sooooo...Trip Updates

I finally received this email from Gene...YESTERDAY...

Here it is:
Jordan,
I really want to go to Disney World but things are getting tough at my work. We've experienced a couple downsizes and I don't feel like I should take the additional week off with this environment. If things change I'll definitely let you know.

-Eugene

So does that mean for sure that he's not going?;)

I'm actually glad he's not going as I need this time to recharge and relax.

I just talked to my friend, Tom, who lives in the Orlando area. We are going to try and hook up on Sunday, Feb 14th and hangout for the night. We've missed each other the last few times I've been in FL. I was best man in his wedding and he has a son named after me as well. Then on Monday the 15th, the kids and his wife will join us at Typhoon Lagoon, weather pending.

IF he, for some reason, can't make it out to see me, I MAY try and come in a day early and hangout with him and his family before starting my vacation. We'll see. It's just a new wrinkle....

Memory lane

As we start the countdown to the trip, just taking some of the oldtimers on my PTR/TRs back to the beginning and share some old fave pix from my PTRs/TRs

Some Binder love from 2007!

Welcome back!

If you have any questions concerning DLR and the surrounding area, let me know.

Jordy

Since you offered . . . . .

I'm interested in taking an LA city tour (I know, kinda of touristy). :rotfl: Can you recommend any? I'll be by myself, as my parents are flying home early that day and I'm taking the red-eye. I'd like to see the "usual" sights.

Thanks.

Yikes! I hope things get better for you and your desire for your work comes back. Nothing worse than no motivation.

Mmmm, me thinks Eugene is out, but it seems it's for the best anyway. Hope things work out for getting together with your friend Tom and his family.

Jordan it is not possible for you to work any longer hours unless they have added "figure out how to add more hours to the day" to your list of duties! Just not possible! Hope things get better for you soon!

Aw Jordy I am so sorry. With a FIL "in the biz" and a sister who has been the youth director for the past 10 years I can say that the church, any church, seems more often than not to have just as much drama, just as many politics and often unrealistic expectations as any company I have ever worked for. I don't think micromanagement is a for-profit quality, in fact it seems to be even more prevalent in every non profit I've ever been involved with, with less professionalism surrounding the drama.

But. I feel your pain.

However. You are the only one that can push back. I don't care how crummy the economy is or what a wonderful greater purpose you serve, everyone has limits. Those limits vary widely but only you can enforce them

Ok, sorry, off my soapbox!

I am sorry your friend cannot go but it does sound like it has opened a window to catch up with other important people and while a wrinkle, perhaps a lovely one at the end of the day.

Don't get sick!
