The commercial is one of the nastiest ever though. lol I shield my eyes everytime they dump it!

I bought one for my DH just last week. lol

I was tired of his feet scratching me at night, and ruining all my good bed sheets.

He used it once and it was amazing. What a difference ! Only I cant look at him empty the egg. Just gross.

How is this different from the "foot file" I saw at Dollar Tree? The Dollar Tree one had a compartment to collect the "stuff". Does it work that much better than a pumice stone? I'd be afraid of scraping off too much foot!

I think the effectiveness hinges on the shape of the "egg" - it is more ergonomically correct so you can grip it at a better angle to your foot if that makes any sense.

I have tried foot files and pumice stones before and nothing comes close to the Pedegg and its "cheese grater" type metal grate except for a true spa pedicure.

i agree. when they show it opened up and all of that "skin powder" is rolling around inside it made me sick. it brought back a horrific memory. my brother and i were young and visiting a sick family member, and someone had left a stethoscope next to the bed. he was playing around with it, unscrewed the round part that's held against the patient's chest. surprise! guess what? it contains the same kind of powder, only collected over years and from hundreds of sick and dying people and blew it into my face.

I will wait until I am starving and then empty it. What a great way to keep me on my Weight Watchers points! It sure will make my hunger go away seeing that.

I really could hurl right now thinking about that and the stethoscope thing.

I brought mine off tv and I love it. It really does work , especially when you smooth on some lotion afterwards.

I can tell you that this one doesn't work. I read the previous thread on these and have been wanting to try it too. I use vaseline with socks now and it really softens my feet. Guess my callous' aren't that bad.

For those of you that don't have one yet, emptying it does have a yuck factor, but it's not as bad as what you see on tv. Unless you don't empty it for a few months

I second another poster's comments about being careful. I went a bit too far on one area and it was tender for a few days.

I have never heard of the pedegg until I read this message yesterday. So after work I stopped in Walgreens and what was the very first thing I saw when I walked in?? Yup the Pedegg, so I figured why not. Got home and tried it out, I can not believe how great it works!! My feet are soooo smooth now. DH was shocked! And I even got a foot massage from him Thanks OP for the heads up on the Pedegg!!

I really like mine. After I use it, I slather on some Burt Bee's foot cream (cocoanut scented) and a pair of socks. Works sooooooooooooooooooooo much better than a crummy old pumice stone.

A couple years ago, a technician who was giving me a pedicure recommended this. At the time, I couldn't find them in any retail stores. I purchased one from the spa (for about twice what they are selling for now) and I LOVE it.

Only once did I get a little too zealous and one part of my foot was a little tender. I've never drawn blood with it. And you naturally let up pressure before you go too far.

I guess I'm the odd one out because emptying it doesn't gross me out. Now I know I'd be grossed out to see someone else empty theirs, but my own doesn't faze me.

I'm so glad I found this post. I have been wanting one of these for a while now, but I wasn't sure how well they worked. I tried using the foot files and the pumice, and they are a waste. Looks like I'll have to give the Ped Egg a try!

I absolutely love mine. I have been wanting to try it and after reading a few of the postive reviews I tried it. I am obsessed!

I have tried stones and files and they are totally worthless.

It does not hurt one bit and no blood! Just nice smooth feet. Mine were a mess, so much I was too embarassed to get a pedicure. This is the best $10 investment I've made!
