Peanut Allergy alert for Cosmic Rays

We just got back from another wonderful and safe trip with DS who has a severe peanut allergy. We noticed the kid's menu at Cosmic Rays in the Magic Kingdom has changed and they now serve Smucker's Uncrustables peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Unfortunately this now puts Cosmic Ray's outside our comfort zone, due to residue on the table and chairs, etc. Just wanted to give anyone who is also dealing with peanut allergies a heads up.

Cosmic Rays has served peanut butter and jelly for a long time. Most counter service places in MK do including Pinocchios and Columbia house. Most food courts at the resorts sell them as well. I think the only CS in MK that doesn't serve peanut butter is Peco's Bills (atleast last time I was there). And Casey's since they don't have a kid's menu.

Also, that residue will be everywhere at WDW - just bring wipes with you, and do what you'd do for any contact area.

I agree. We wipe everything and sometimes use the disposable place mats as well. DGS knows to never lay food on the table. WE have seen kids many times walking around with peanut butter sandwiches and sitting on benches eating them!!! It is scary and you are so right that everyone has to find their own comfort level. We are just stating to find ours,

I agree with others that I think like 95% of teh CS places sell teh uncrustables.
The residue is everywhere in teh parks. Just wipe down tha table, chairs adn your sons hands and you should be fine.

How old is your son?
Unless he has a contact allergy (if he touches Peanuts/PB he has a reaction) he'll be fine unless he puts his hands in his mouth.

We also just take wipes and be sure that my son washes his hands well before any meal or snack. Unfortuantely peanut butter is everywhere - in the real world AND at Disney!

We also carry around the travel clorox disinfecting wipes, I figured residue must be all over at QS meal locations. I am however, thankful in a way that the uncrustables are served rather than regular PBnJ on bread, its safer in a sense b/c it is all prepacked and no peanut butter is actually in the kitchen.
