Anyone with experience renting from Payless at MCO? We usually do National, but Payless has some good rates. It would be for a minivan if that helps anyone. I just don't want to go somewhere that doesn't do airport pick-up or won't have the car in stock, etc. Any advice is appreciated!

Payless is not at the airport, so you would need to take a shuttle bus to their location, and the same when returning the car so give yourself a little extra time. I have never used them because the rate I get from companies on site are not that much higher and sometimes lower to make it worth wild.

Thanks for your help. I'm okay with a shuttle bus. It's about half the price of everyone else on a minivan during our time period. I've tried discount codes, coupons, everything. I just worry because I haven't done business with them before. Thanks for sharing your experience and helping to answer my question!

I, too, am considering this company. Bumping in case others have experience. Mini-van rate for me as well is luring me in.

Can you give us an idea of what to expect with the shuttle? Are they frequent, easy to find ... is it a quick trip? Enough space for kids, car seats, stroller, and luggage?

Are you guys using a promo code for the minivan rates? I was curious and checked for our trip and didn't see anything special. May be because our dates are so close though.

I am looking at Xmas week, 12/26-1/3. It is quoting me $1200 for 8 days on other rentals agencies (or no vans left at all), about $400 for 8 days at this place. I think I'd buy a used van for $1200!!! So, how about the shuttle time and availability. Landing late on 26th after most non-airport locations are closed, but Pay Less is saying they could get me in a van.

If i recall, when you get to where the shuttles are, you call them on one of the phones they have there. It only took a couple minutes for the shuttle to show up and it was a short trip. Lots of room. Been a while but i believe that is how it is.

Keep checking other companies closer to the date. Im sure they will drop.

Have you tried bidding for a minivan on Priceline - I think you could do better there, might be an option. Check out the thread on the Dis about bidding on Priceline.

Bid $40 a day two days ago and was denied. Then bid $45 a day and was denied yesterday.

They're actually on the way to Disney. The shuttle goes out the north airport exit and left at the first light (Frontage) and their office is on the right.

Leaving their office in your van, take a right instead of their suggested left. Less than a mile is next light (Conway). Two quick lefts get you onto 528 (Martin Andersen Beach Line Expressway fka bee line to the beaches)

Watch for toll signs and take what looks like an exit ramp to pay toll, about a dollar, in cash. Exact change not mandatory.

End of 528 get on to I-4 west (southwest). Disney exits appear soon.

Returning the van via I-4 east to 528 east, again watch for toll signs on 528 and take "exit ramp" to pay toll in cash. Get off 528 at its exit 9 (Tradeport). Left and cross under, get into middle lane, required right onto McCoy (becomes Frontage). Payless is on the left. Their shuttle continues east on Frontage to 436 (Semoran) and takes a right to enter the airport.

Have used Payless at MCO numerous times in the past, no problems. As with any rental company, you need to be prepared to just say no if you don't want any of the extra coverages and insurance.

Another option is an Enterprise off airport location. I got a rate of $491.22 including taxes and fees for your dates (8 days exactly) for a minivan. Used the 15% off local coupon at http://www.carrentalsavers.com/enterprise.html

On the right side searched by place of interest and selected Disney World. You may be able to find a location closer to the airport. I used that same coupon thru carrentalsavers last week at my local Enterprise.
