Pay when ADR + Dining Plan?

We are visiting in Sept this year and have already paid in full for our hotel and dining plan (hoping for free dining, tho). I've never done ADR before, but I know for Cinderella that you have to pay in full when you book. How does this work? Do we pay in full on a card and then get refunded after we actually get there and use our dining plan? Also, we'll have a reservation for 5 with one of those being under 2. Is there a place to note adult/kid/infant when you make the reservation? I'm trying to get my ducks in a row and learn as much as I can before 3/22.

Because you already have the dining plan you can book CRT using your dining plan credits and not have to pre-pay. When it's time to make your reservations you will need to go through your MDE and link your dining plan. On the CRT reservation page there will be a place to indicate you want to use your dining credits. You will still need to give your credit card info for the no show penalty. If you fail to cancel before the deadline (check to see if CRT is 48 or 24 hours) and no one shows up for the reservation, your cc will be charged the entire amount. If the online system wants you to pre-pay, you can call and make the reservation with a Castmember using your dining plan credits.

For the CRT and any other reservation include everyone who will be at the table regardless of age. For CRT it will ask the number of Adults, Children, Infants (2 years and under).
