Wednesday 19th September

Wednesday was a bit of a wash out, the weather forecast was for a showery day and they weren’t wrong. We had planned to go AK, but after discussion we decided AK wasn’t really the place to be on a rainy day so we decided to do some more shopping and see what the weather would turn out like later on.

After breakfast in our room we went to the recently re-opened Prime outlet at the top of I-Drive and had a brief look at the Florida Mall, picking up a few more bargains. We went back to the resort for a late lunch at the Pepper Market. I had Bourbon Chicken and Apple Cobbler, whilst Ruth went for the Chicken Quesidilla and Carrot Cake.

By this time the weather had brightened up so we headed out for our adventure at AK. This park is so beautiful, we arrived at approximately 3.30 and made our way towards Africa. We decided to skip the parade and go on the safari as we thought they’d be lots of animals out due to the dampness of the day, we weren’t disappointed.

After the safari we got our wristbands for EMH then we made our way to Asia to willingly become Yeti fodder at Expedition Everest.

After riding Everest twice we headed round towards Dinoland and rode the attractions there, Ruth was her usual hilarious self on Dinosaur, screaming like a girl.

Somehow I managed to talk Ruth into watching It’s Tough to be a Bug, which she hates and that normally I have to watch by myself. It was good fun watching her squirm, no doubt it will be a few years before she watches it again!

The rain had decided to return so we headed out of the park and drove to Downtown Disney for our ADR at Planet Hollywood where we had a fabulous meal.

I had the World Famous Chicken Crunch to start

Feeling rather full we rolled down the ramp at Planet Hollywood and had a wander around West Side before calling it a night and heading back to Coronado Springs.

I've never fancied eating at Planet Hollywood - but that food looks great :thumbsup2

Another great day

Great day! I agree with Mandy, I had never fancied PH but the food looks yummy!:)

Another great report with lovely photos.

Now I'm jealous! I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to get an ADR at Planet Hollywood for my DD's Birthday in April. Looks like we definitely have to get there one night during our trip, though, if the food tastes as good as it looks :thumbsup2

Another one here who has never really fancied Planet Hollywood but the food does look really nice. I know my hubby would love those ribs, and the starters looked really tasty. This is the day we landed in Florida and we thought it was a little colder than usual - the rain explains that.
