Patriots Fans~ It's time to...

I agree. I'm as big a Pats fan as anybody and I can say with complete confidence, if they had won, I wouldn't be mocking the Giants or making fun of their fans. Kind of a bad example to be setting for our kids.

Uh, excuse me?

Actually he did do that. Both coaches ran onto the field and shook hands thinking the **** had run off.

I think you must have left out an "l" - but the visual effect of what the DIS Censor THOUGHT you said is just too funny!!!!

And I really wanted that Plaxico Burress guy to win because really he deserves it having had to go through life with a name like "Plaxico".

Did you see him dissolve into tears at the end during his TV interview? Very touching.

Congratulations to the NY Giants. They played a GREAT GAME, and deserved to win. And they kept their poise, even when no one gave them a chance.

Great picture, Dodie!! Did you see Peyton up in the luxury box, cheering Eli on? Very nice that they are Super Bowl MVP's 2 years in a row!

FTR - The Pats had NOTHING to do with it. That was Mayor Menino.

Of course they didn't - no one believes they did; nor did the Pats have anything to do with the "19-0" book you could pre-purchase at Amazon.com or the 19-0 banners that were posted everywhere around here. It was the whole area playing into the hype - and you certainly had every right to. Everyone knows a professional team would not play into that and I don't think anyone was implying it.

The Patriots were undefeated and looked pretty much unstoppable all year. Most Patriot fans I know walked around with a certain "superior" attitude. Again, you all had every right to. If my Giants were 18-0, I would have been doing the same thing. It's only natural to have that "can't lose" attitude. But, now that you have lost, suck it up. Face up to the fact that this was a HUGE upset and MOST of you were not expecting it. You guys enjoyed yourself all season while the Pats were walking all over everybody in the league; let us enjoy our time now. Some of us are being gracious in victory; some of us are not. Just like some of us are being humble in defeat; and some are not.

Awwww...Having a bad day I guess. And yes the dolphins of today suck but the undefeated Fins? Well, they're still ours and still the ONLY undefeated team...EVER!!! Just sayin'...:rolleyes1

Slap belicheck on the back and give him a big thumbs up on his way to testifying about his despicable actions.:thumbsup2

No, I'm not having a bad day. Last night I wasn't doing so good, but today I'm fine. It's just that there's a lot of talk on the Dis of the Patriots going around bragging and being arrogant, to the point of throwing it back in our faces. Well, if you have a record of 18 - 0 going into the Super Bowl, wouldn't you brag and be somewhat arrogant? As a Patriots fan, I have no problem saying that the Giants were the better team last night. They played a great game, plain and simple. But it's beginning to sound like the Giants fans are becoming sore winners by throwing our loss back in our faces. No, rubbing it in. That's why I posted what I did.

This reaction is probably because a few (probably very few) Patriots fans were pretty "mocking" toward fans of just about any other team during the course of this season.

:thumbsup2 Bingo! I'm just elated that now we can debate whether this year's Patriots are the 43rd best team ever, not the first. Honestly, all that talk was just making me sick.

I just wanna know how many of ya'll rubbed Planters cashews on yourselves after the game?

I would just like to add that it's not only GIANTS FANS rejoicing over the victory last night. Look back over these posts, Pats fans. There are fans from teams all around the league who are getting in some shots about the Patriots' loss. So please don't "generalize" all as "Giants" fans.:flower3:

I've seen this "sore winner" comment several times since the game. Why weren't all of you guys calling the arrogant Patriot fans that this last week or so? Like I said before, if they can dish it, they can take it.

On a side note...
I remember the announcer saying, right before the Giants-Buccaneer game, that the only gap in the Giants defense was the one between Strahan's (sp?) teeth! He was right. Much to my disappointment. :sad1:

Sorry about that. I'm just playin', it's only sports after all. I really don't live or die with this stuff anymore, although nostagically I am happy the Fins' record remains but seriously I'm just funnin'!

No, but I did try to start the car this morning by attaching jumper cable clamps to my chest.

That's me! I don't have much use the the Giants either but I was pulling for them yesterday because...
1) they were an NFC team
2) they were not the Patriots.

Good grief, all the sickening talk about "best team ever" was way out of hand. IMO, PatriotNation deserves all the smack it gets and then some. Maybe not all fans, but as a rule the fandom sure does. Maybe now next time a team makes a long undefeated run (even if it's my favorite team) we can save all the ridiculous talk until they have actually accomplished the task at hand.

What a nice post. :thumbsup2 Pats fan here, licking my wounds. Nice to know there are some nice Giants fans around.

I'll be congratulating my niece and her family, and my DD's boyfriend (Giants fan) can go to school tomorrow sporting blue hair.

Life long GIANT fan here. I'm absolutely thrilled with yesterday's outcome, but the Pats had a fantastic season. Congrats to all the Patriot's fans on your team's accomplishment!

I didn't realize it was our job to put the kabosh on any smack talk from people on our side. Call me crazy, but I figured they don't speak for me, we are not one voice, and most intelligent people would realize that the actions of a few doesn't speak for the many.
My sore winner comment was in reference to the negative comments about the Pats fans as a whole. You want to rib the people who were overly confident and eating crow today, have at it. But I don't think it's an unfair request for people to not lump the whole fan base and organization based on the obnoxious few.

Ok, about this cheating thing...what team hasn't?

Do you have proof to back that up or is it simply....we'll I got caught with my hand in the cookie jar and said...."but they all do it?". One team has been caught.....and I'm guessing Billicheat has done that for most of his time in NE (if not other places too)...

Think they'll give back their SB trophy to St Louis if (when most likely) it was proven they cheated then as well???

THE GIANTS WIN!!!!!!!!!

["...whataya doin' NEXT??? I'M goin' to DISNEYWORLD!..."]

When the Patriots were caught cheating the first time we went thru this whole "everybody does it" thing. Not that I want to revisit that discussion, but I think it's timely to remind others that the team I pull for (Panthers) have explicitly denied any such things, as have several other teams. I believe them all 100%. If there is ever any proof to the contrary I will re-judge things then.

There is no need to take the spotlight off whatever cheating the Patriots may have done. Losing yesterday's game may actually help them avoid some of the scrutiny that may have come with 19-0, thus upholding those past SB wins.

And it isn't your responsibility to stop the smack coming from others. You obviously haven't read my every post on this subject. Why you haven't, I don't know? ;) But if you had you would have known I'm not lumping anyone together.

Not to get into the whole debate on who has and who hasn't, but would you admit to video taping from the sidelines?
