Patriots Fans~ It's time to...

This whole Belichek leaving the field thing is cracking me up. It's not like he ran out in the middle of a play. The camera was only on him so we don't know who else had run out already. He didn't run onto the field kicking and crying. He went out to congratulate the other coach.

The classy thing to do would be to trot back out to the sideline and watch the Giants kneel down, but what would Belicheat know about class? So, I guess he gets a technical pass on that from me. :lmao:

Except the cheating and their coach that is.

It's like you're P. Rivers screaming at the fans on the sideline... grow up already.

Congrats to the Giants!! (They would have kicked the Chargers butts too btw)

Of course, I would always come back and say Congratulations!! The Giants deserved to win, they played an excellent game!! Enjoy the moment, fans, you guys are World Champions!! :)

i just love seeing good sportsmanship like this. :goodvibes

The Dolphins are THE ONLY UNDEFEATED team EVER!!!!!
pirate:

my dad grew up in miami and is a HUGE dolphins fan. i called him as soon as the game was over and he answered the phone by saying, "the legend lives on." :rotfl:

:confused3

Are you serious????? Over 1 second :confused3

yes, over one second. it sets a bad example for the kids and shows how disrespectful and unsportsmanlike belichick is.

Two years in a row Manning boys have done it!!!!:yay: :cheer2:

you said it, girl! :thumbsup2

Pats fan here, licking my wounds. Nice to know there are some nice Giants fans around.

sorry your team lost. but what a great game, huh? i think the reason so many people loathe the pats like they do is not because of the entire team, but because of their coach and because of tom brady. something about him is just unlikeable to me.

As far as Belichek going out onto the field with one second left, I believe the Giants coach was there as well. I saw him go right over to him and shake his hand. Great season, Pats...great game Giants. I still love the Pats!!!

yes, but belichick left after that and coughlin went back to stand with his team until the final snap was played. i just stood there with my draw jopped to the floor on how disrespectful and rude belichick acted when he left the field......and his team......before the game was over. :sad2:

Did you even watch the game? He went onto the field and the coaches hugged.

I was in my kitchen pacing and praying.;) IF you had read my earlier post, you would have found that I corrected myself.

That's exactly what I said to DH. :thumbsup2

Sorry Pats' fans but I have to say: :rotfl2: ! It's been sheer misery living up here surrounded by all of you!

I look at the bright side. All of those Patriot tees and sweatshirts are going to be on sale this week at great prices!

We are Bears fans so we haven't really cared about who wins for several weeks now!

But I think it's always exciting when the underdog wins, so I was rooting for the Giants. Plus it will be fun to see what David Letterman and Conan O'Brien have to say tomorrow night. And I really wanted that Plaxico Burress guy to win because really he deserves it having had to go through life with a name like "Plaxico".

As far as the whole Belicheck leaving with 1 second on the clock - he ran on to the field to congratulate the Giants AND if you were watching the game they actually backed the clock up to 1 second left on the clock. It is completely believable that he also thought the game was over not time left to be played. He wasn't the only one going onto the field, there were giants players too.

Wow, some pretty sore winners here. I have to believe, I really do, that Bill B. left the field due to a misunderstanding of time left on the clock. I just can't imagine how he couldn't have noticed that the entire team was not behind him. If, and it's a big if, he did just shake hands and leave in a huff, then that's wrong.
I think the Patriots, as a whole, handled the weeks leading up to the Super Bowl wonderfully. No trash talk, no insults to the Giants...well, at least none that I heard, but I wasn't glued to sports radio/tv.
Congratulations to the Giants on a great game. They did exactly what they said they were going to do....hit Brady often and hard. And they did. Man, Tom must be one hurting puppy this morning. Evidently the offensive line didn't get the memo that the Giants were going to go after Tom.
I think the entire Giants defense should have been MVP....without them, the score would have been vastly different. Talk about focus....sheesh, even a Pats fan can give 'em that.

Sure do wish we could put the whole 'spy gate' to rest. It truly is a non-issue. 70 odd quarters played after that 'bad quarter'....you would think that the issue would go away. I would also imagine there were a lot of teams/coaches breathing a sigh of relief it wasn't them that got caught with their hands in the cookie jar (or on the 'record' button!!). Not saying it was right, just that the Pats weren't alone in the practice...they just got caught.

Yay GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree!!! YEA for the Giants! I detest the Patriots(sorry Patriots fans). That made my night that the best team won!!!   (Even though I am a true Colts fan, but the Giants are good too!)

Yeah, but all those tees and sweatshirts are already printed with "19-0" on them (yes, that's how over-confident they were up here!). They won't be able to give them away!

Sorry Pats - you had a great season, but in the end, it doesn't mean squat! I would rather be 12-4 and Super Bowl champs; then 18-1 and Super Bowl losers. It all boils down to the big game!

Better luck next year! (never thought I'd be saying that this morning!)

I agree. I'm as big a Pats fan as anybody and I can say with complete confidence, if they had won, I wouldn't be mocking the Giants or making fun of their fans. Kind of a bad example to be setting for our kids.

Ok, I'm neither a Pats nor a Giants fan. But after the way the Pats fans were bragging before the game, can you honestly say they (the fans that were bragging, not the players) don't deserve to have it put back in their face. I think I remember reading things people wrote like "We have Brady and you don't". And how many times did they post 19-0 the perfect season.

I'm all for good sportsmanship. But the Pats fans on the DIS boards gave the Giants no respect before the game. I don't remember them ever mentioning that the Giants were a good team and might give the Pats a game, before the game happened (I didn't read all the threads, so someone may have said it, but I don't remember reading it)

So I really don't think they can then come here after the game and say the Giants had a good game and then slam on the Giants fans for not returning the respect that the Pats fans did not give them to begin with.

This reaction is probably because a few (probably very few) Patriots fans were pretty "mocking" toward fans of just about any other team during the course of this season.

I don't know. 2 wrongs don't make a right. If anyone was acting like that, you should show them up and prove you're a bigger person. I for one said after the Giants beat Green Bay that I would rather play the Packers as their defense wasn't as good. I thought the Giants matched up very well with the Pats. I'm sorry to say, I was right.

OK, I am not that much of a football fan. With that said though I detest Randy Moss like you would not believe. When I found out Randy Moss was on the New England team I wanted them to lose!!!!

I would have LOVED to see Randy Moss's face when the Giants got their very last touchdown with only about 30 seconds left in the game :lmao:

No Superbowl ring for you Randy!! :cool1:

CONGRATS TO THE GIANTS!!!!!! :cheer2:
