I'm really amazed at the mean spirit of so many posters. Being from New England, trust me when I say that we have had our LONG dry spells of not having a winning team.
The Patriots had an amazing year and we (Pats fans) were/are proud of that. I'm sure there were some that were overconfident and pushed it in others faces. But, most New England fans are just fiercly proud of their team(s).
If this had been a regular game, I would have happily congratulated the Giants on their win. They were the underdog and they played an AMAZING game. Eli was awesome.
But, the reason it hurts so much to lose this game is because of all the comments and threads I see on this board. No one will remember that the Pats went 18-0 before losing the Superbowl. They will only remember that they lost. And that is why I feel so sad right now. And all of these posts are making me feel sick to my stomach
