Past 8 weeks on deck 2?

Has anyone been walking around on deck 2 in the past 8 weeks?
Anybody have a state room on deck 2 in February or March?

We hear it’s closed for Covid but customer service said we could charge out scooter there but she doesn’t know if they move people away from deck 2 prior to sailing still. We have 2 trips planned one on the Wonder another on the Magic and we had chosen deck two for the scooter issue. So anyone been on deck 2 in the last 2 months?

I have often seen scooters/wheelchairs parked (not sure if charging) on one of the other decks. I see them when we go up or down the mid ship clear elevators. Its deck 6 I think. Not sure about Deck 2 currently...don't think anyone but quarantined have been there.

We are sailing on the Wonder in May and assigned a Deck 2 GTY category and wondering if we will be put there or moved to a OV on a higher deck. I think they may have to keep some rooms reserved for Quarantine as Canada has that as one of their requirements for ships to enter Canada. We are on the Hawaii to Vancouver on May 6. Of course things can change 100 times by then.

DCL used to have the following information on their website, though I can't find it now and it is not on the page I have found it before. I suggest speaking with Special Services, not the normal customer service.

On the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, parking is located on Deck 6 Midship, just behind the elevators. On the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, parking is located on Deck 2 Midship, just outside Enchanted Garden.

I’m sailing in April and was just assigned a Deck 2 GTY cabin number (2106). I think they are opening up deck 2 again as they lessen restrictions.

While on the fantasy deck 5 was restricted in the aft. Everytime we pass deck 5 aft the doors were closed and had a sign that said restricted area. Only one side.

Interesting, while I was on fantasy in January sections around Enchanted garden were closed off.

That's what I'm thinking -- they may even return to just using your own stateroom for quarantine as done in the past with norovirus or other illnesses.

I believe that the scooter parking and charging area is deck 6 midship on both the Magic and Wonder. We have sailed both ships in staterooms adjacent to the midship elevator lobby, and see the parking area as we use the elevators. I don’t know if there is another such parking area on deck 2 of the Magic and Wonder.

Perhaps confused with the areas on the Dream and Fantasy, which are on deck 2.

Thought they put someone outside the quarantine area as a security guard? I remember someone here mentioned that their child had neurovirus (years ago before Covid) and they took the kid out for a walk because the kid needed air and he threw up in the adult area and the kid expelled his fluids and proteins right on the deck.
I trust people much less now than ever before. The amount of people who told me that they were going out but were gonna wear a mask just after diagnosed with Covid is absolutely discussing and disappointing.

I keep editing this because I got 3 hours of sleep last night and I sound like I’m 8 yrs old.

Both deck 2 and deck 5 aft were closed off on the Dream in February. Deck 2 was used for quarantine and deck 5 was used for contractors and new hires that had to be quarantined before working.

Recently for Covid - yes.
In the past for norovirus, I think just the stateroom host kept an eye on your room, and/or others would call or stop by the room periodically to check on you.

YOu may be able to change your stateroom online yourself.

I was able to for our upcoming cruise, except the stateroom I wanted to change it to didn't show up [thanks to DCL only showing you 16 available staterooms in a category and area of ship] so in the end I did have to call. But if you are given the option online and the stateroom shows up as avaulable you should be able to do it yourself.

Magic out of Miami, April 11th. We paid for a 9C GTY cabin. We were issued a 9B. We were hoping we would be moved to a higher deck with the COVID quarantines on Deck 2, but I imagine they are reducing the space they need for quarantining.

Just got our GTY room assignment for Magic out of Miami on April 11 too..
Paid for 10C got 10B deck 2... So, wondering the same as above...
