Passport stamp?

Hello all,

My son would like to get his passport stamped in Nassau. We will be in Nassau on a Saturday.

1) Are the offices open during the weekend for a stamp?
2) If we take the Atlantis Beach day excursion would we be back in enough time to get the passport stamped, presuming they are open?
3) Can we just leave the passports at guest services to have them stamped?

Getting the passport stamped in Nassau is nervous making but actually simple. Not sure of the day or your timing but we had to ask a young armed military man if we could pass him, went across a service road to a building then down the hall to find the people. They were nice and quick, then we made our way back. Didn't take much time but was a weird scenario with the armed military situation.

You do know that when a Bahamian comes to the U.S. they think it is a weird scenario that there is no armed military at such places.

How far away is the building from the ship and is it within walking distance? The armed military presence doesn't concern me. I'm more so worried about missing the ship

It's not far at all. It's pretty much right on the dock, and on your way back to the ship. Just one of the guards and they'll point you in the right direction. Then when you get out of the building after you get your passport stamped, it's just a few yards back onto the ship.

Thank you that is reassuring to know that it is right on the dock. I'm thinking we will go back to the ship after the excursion to retrieve the passports so that we are not carrying them with us in port.
