Passport expiration question

Passports expire in December, have a 3d Dream cruise in October. From what I can tell, the laws for the Bahamas will allow travel with these passports. Anyone have personal experience with this? I know some countries require 6 months past travel, but I don't believe the Bahamas do. Thanks!

AFAIK, the passports are fine. As long as they are not expired when used.

According to the State Dept, there are no requirements other than it be valid. http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_989.html#entry_requirements

You will be fine. We boarded the ship on Jan. 26 and DD's passport expired on Jan. 27 and there were no problems. I did bring her BC as back up but didn't need it. This was on an Eastern Caribbean cruise this past January.
