Okay, I'd really like to try the PftS during my upcoming trip. However, I don't think I could exactly afford both the PftS and an evening at V&A's. Also, the only date I'll be there when PftS is offered (Sat. 9/29) I've already got reservations for the California Grill. Now, I suppose I could go without V&A's this trip...and I might be able to find another seating for CG (though getting ADR's during prime fireworks viewing time seems like a slim chance)...my question is whether or not it's worth it? I mean, we're talking about spending $270 between DH and myself...and we're not that into the Eat to the Beat concert. Plus, we'll miss out on V&A's (which we love) and there'll be the hassle of redoing all my carefully planned out ADR's. However, as my DH pointed out, V&A's will be there the next time we visit...but we may not come back in the fall for a while.

So what do you think?

Alternatively, I'd consider doing one of the food and wine pairings. Le Cellier and Coral Reef both sound like good options. Has anyone done these previously and, if so, exactly how hard is it to get tickets?

Thanks guys!

Go! You will be glad you did, and if you are not into the concert part don't go. When I went last year we went to the concert and it was way cool (Survior) and we had a blast. There were a bunch of people already at the Party by the time we got there so they must not have gone to the concert-which ran over it's 1/2 hour time schedule so we ended up being almost 30 minutes late by the time they led us to the party. This year we are going again and will probably skip the concert and see it another night.

Skip V&A, do it another time. Skip CG if you have to, do that another time. (Personally I have no interest in the fireworks so your mileage may vary). Skip the concert if the artist doesn't interest you. Do the P4TS for sure.

Stick with V & A. Did P4TS last year. Not being a huge wine drinker, it definitely was not worth my money. Glad I did it, but I won't do it again. I've been to V & A's twice, and I go there again in a heartbeat. I LOVE V & A's!

Personally, I would go for PFTS.

But understand it's a totally different experience than a sit down meal.

If you're into trying lots of different foods (do you swap and share meals when you go to dinner?:rotfl: ) and like sampling lots of different wines, and maybe don't mind standing and eating sometimes, than this is for you.

If you really have to sit down and be waited on to really "enjoy" the meal, then probably stick with your plan.

A related, but more specific, question: Would Party of the Senses be worth the price for a nondrinker?

Thanks!

We are drinkers .. wow! That sounds:rotfl2: bad!

We love the event but don't think it would be worth $135.00 without enjoying a couple bottles I mean glasses of wine!

I'm gonna try PftS for the first time this year, 9/29. I figure it's Disney it should be pretty good. Not that interested in the Concert, but i like to eat & I like to drink. So I hope I get my $$$ worth. Never tried V&A's, but maybe we should some time. How much is a typical meal with a few drinks cost at V&A's, similar to PftS... $270.00?/
