I know the feeling. I was planning 2 Disney trips at the same time. One to DL and our upcoming to WDW. Often at times I was hoping I wasn't mixing the 2 up. And DW wonders why I make so many spreadsheets. :rotfl:

*lol* I currently have a spreadsheet for Plan A and Plan B (depending on what my in-laws decide). I had to put a big red and yellow bar across Plan B because I kept editing the wrong one. ;)

Speaking of editing, I need to update my ADR list. I made some changes and I don't think I updated the spreadsheet.

2 months from right now I will be getting off the plane to start our surf and turf vacation!! I'm so excited it is crazy!! I feel like a kid waiting for Xmas morning!! What am I going to be like when it is a week away??? I'm going to start to get DSA!!! Disney Sleep Apnea is a sleep disorder characterized by high levels of excitement thinking about your upcoming trip....it is completely normal and there is no known cure!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

I know the feeling. In exactly 2 months as of tomorrow we will be on our way to Disney!

I just told my mom this morning on the phone about the grand opening of the second phase of the Fantasyland expansion. It opens on 12/6 which is our 2nd day at MK :cool1: We have the steam train tour booked for the morning, so as soon as that is done, we are heading straight to the new section! She didn't know about it and is a little worried about it being very crowded. However, I don't think MK will be nearly as busy as it is during the summer when the majority of people go (I hope).

In that case then I would stick with what you originally booked as that is what has been getting you excited and have CSR as your next resort to get excited about :)

Means you have extra money to buy sparkly stuff :)

I vote for staying where you are. You can use that $300 for something really special while in Disney if you want, or save it towards the next trip :thumbsup2

You people and your logic. And I thought you were my friends. :rotfl2:

Hello. We are coming (me, DH, DD) back for our second December trip and hope it becomes an annual tradition. I'm most looking forward to the decorations and visiting other resorts this time to see theirs. I hear the GF is very nice so we will go to dinner there one evening.

Staying at Coronado Springs starting Dec 9-16.

Thank you and your son for your service. My cousin is in the Navy--SWCC and is coming home in the next couple days from Afghanistan. :thumbsup2

Now on to the trip. We also went in Dec last year and loved it so much, we are going back this year. The GF is nice. The WL has a gigantic Christmas tree and feels very Christmasy. We didnt make it to the Epcot resorts last year, but plan to this year.

So why did you choose CSR and where did you stay last year? :rotfl2:

Someone make me step away from the resort board!!!!!! Really tempted to switch to CSR for $300. Queen beds, beautiful resort, potentially less kids and quieter. Could do a preferred room or king bed for $500. Just dont know that I want a breakfast buffet everyday. Could grab muffins the night before or even pack something quick and then eat another snack in the park before lunch if we needed to. We always eat lunch early to beat crowds anyway.

I vote CSR. I LOVE CSR! I wouldn't necessarily pay for a preferred room. A king bed would be nice, but I didn't mind the queen beds. The pool/slide is awesome. Hottub, biggest on property. I like the PM. There is also a little store next door that sells breakfast'y kinda stuff. The rooms are quite nice and have a delux'ish feel to them. Since it is just you two, I say CSR! Awesome bus service too. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there a 3rd time in the future. Plus, if it will be awhile till your next trip, why not? hehe. (Check my siggie for Oct 07 TR w/ pics of CSR)

Just a random thought I am laying on the floor in my DD's playroom, no seats in here, listenung to Disney's Sing Along Song Beach Party at WDW on the tv, but in my head I'm walking down main street singing "I'm walking right down the middle of main street USA" 68 days and it will be a reality!!!!

I make DD (haha) watch the Disneyland video at least every few weeks. At this point, I have all those songs memorized.

I was waiting for you to get on here! I knew your vote would be for CSR. :goodvibes
I went on a walk at lunch with a coworker that has never been to Disney and has no desire to go. But the poor guy got to hear my dilemma anyway. :rotfl2: At first, he voted to stay at POP since we wont be in the room that much. But by the end of the conversation, he was voting for CSR because of the bigger beds, break from the "Disneyness" and hot tub in case my body hurts after the long day in the parks. He also thought I sounded much more excited about CSR and might be disappointed if I didnt upgrade.

Yes...it's a surprise trip and will be the first trip for the kids who are 9 and 5.

Where are you staying? I love reading about surprise trips! I dont have any kids, but I dont think I could keep it a secret from them if I did.

I am a little bit P.O. right now. Find out that I am too "high risk" for the surgery center, so I have to have the surgery done at the hospital. So, now I am waiting to find out when it is rescheduled for. This is really putting a wrench in the whole thing. If they can't get me in the next couple of weeks, I might as well just postpone the whole thing until after Disney.

I dunno, try and help a friend :rolleyes2 :teeth:

So, CSR or sparkly stuff?

BOTH!!! :rotfl2: The sparkly stuff budget wont be affected/effected by the upgrade. The whole budget went down a bunch when we cancelled DB's room. So in my mind I have all this extra Disney money to play with and if I dont spend it at Disney, it will just go towards boring bills or something. I initially tried to talk DH into WL, but I agree we do need to save SOME money.

Oh no!! Hope they can get you in quickly!!! I like that it is the surgery that will be postponed, not the Disney trip. :thumbsup2

Well after what you said your co-worker said - sounding more excited when you spoke about CSR - I say DO IT. DO IT NOW :goodvibes

I had that same issue when I started thinking about Plan B. Plan A will stretch us financially (6 people for 12 nights) but Plan B has me looking for other things to splurge on. ;)

Now that is the response I was looking for!!!! :lmao:

Exactly. We could have done our Plan A, but now Plan B is so much cheaper. I feel like I should spend more money. :thumbsup2 With your situation, you might get more excited about Plan B and then end up back on Plan A. :confused3

I just discovered this thread and have been reading.

My vote would be defiantly CSR- We have stayed there three times and one time during the holidays and absolutely love it there- they have a huge tree in the lobby all the way to the ceiling. The pool with the slide and hot tub are the best. That time of the year the pools are usually not that busy- only families’ from the northern climate swim while you see the locals walking by in sweaters.

My family and I are arriving on 12/22 thru the 30th; we are staying at the Polynesian for the first time. This is also our first deluxe resort. This has been a dream of ours for a while.

It has actually turned into large party- the 22nd nine of us are going down and later on the 25th four more are coming- all staying Polynesian. And the total still might go up- I guess I am spreading Disney Fever.

Did I say that is the best time to go there- everyone is actually happier than normal ( if that could be) and all you hear is “Merry Christmas” and not some politically correct “Happy Holidays”.

Then all of the decorations, you could not even count the number of Christmas trees.

I do have one question. What restaurant would you go to for Christmas dinner?
