HELP: Jeff has decided to add a couple of ADR's. We are looking for Sunday and this is what is available.
Grand Floridian
Cape May
Kona
Boma

So out of the above selections what one would you choose (not worried about the kids they get to eat off the kids menu).

thanks

I loved Cape May Cafe

I'm not going to have time to catch up from yesterday evening. But I just wanted to check in and let everyone know that we are ok. Thankfully no damage. We lost a few tree branches, but they were small and nothing huge. We also lost one section of the samll wooden fence we had, but that was so old anyway and falling apart. So I'm not surprised.

We lost power around 4:30 yesterday evening and just got it back on about 45 minutes ago. I don't know how long we will have it. Last year, it was on again, off again while the electric company was working at taking a tree off of the power lines that knocked us out. We may be going through the same thing again.

DS has been off of school yesterday, today and now tomorrow. He may be home the whole week if power doesn't come back to the school.

YAY!! Thanks for checking in. We were all worried. Glad you are okay with no real damage. :thumbsup2

Happy to hear you and your family are ok and safe!

Glad to hear that everyone weathered Sandy all right. Hopefully cybrktn has only lost power for a bit. ETA: apparently you posted while I was writing this reply! Yay! Everybody is well, then. :goodvibes:
I'm even heavy one extra cat. Actually, a 4 week old kitten! :goodvibes A woman found him in a box in her apartment complex late last night, and no one knew where he came from. She can't keep him (absolutely no pets of any type allowed there) so she took him to the local vet this morning to ask if they knew where she could take him. They happen to be my vet and know I foster, so they called. Picked him up around 10:30am and decided his name is Hurricane! :lmao: He is sweet as can be, not afraid of the dog or other cats, though he is being kept separated from them for now since he is itty bitty (fits in my hand) and needs kitten food only. Here is a pic of him!
I want him! :hyper: I used to foster kittens when I lived in Davis, California since they have a great feral cat organization. Only had about a dozen kittens in the year or so I lived in that apartment, but it was so much joy I'm hoping to foster again whenever we go back to California. In Hawaii there is no rabies so cats at the shelter are basically in a giant house where they can roam and interact with potential adopters, so there's no need for fostering here. I miss that quite a bit.
So I just called DVC about buying a PAP (hahaha now I am going to laugh everytime I type that out) and decided to wait - sounds like it will be easier to do at Guest Relations when we get our TiW card....

However.... Category 2 tickets to La Nouba - 2 for $106.... Sooooo tempting!
Oooh, get it, that's a great price! (And thanks, now I'm going to giggle whenever I type PAP too ... ;))
I saw this link via one of the Disney blogs I read, and thought it was super cool. It's a map of Disney transportation, done in the style of a subway map.

http://www.arthurdewolf.com/walt-disney-world-transportation-as-a-subway-map/

I found it really interesting...hopefully someone else does, too.
That's fantastic. Definitely will be printing it out and taking with me.
I have a question for you all. We are going to buy an AP in December and I keep hearing people talk about the TiW card. I have tried to reasearch it, but always end up confused. What exactly is it and is it really worth it?
Several people have given you some great links already, but the basic math is, at $75 the TIW is worth it if you plan on spending $375 in table service restaurants where you're not eligible for any other discounts. That's pretty easy to do. A lot of people say because the standard tip is 18% they think of the 20% off as covering the tip; to each their own.
Because the DVC TIW is $100, the break even point for me if I don't upgrade to a PAP :bitelip: is spending $500 at TS, plus I had to calculate that at several of the restaurants I'm going to I can take a 10% DVC member discount instead.
I love my little Nikon Coolpix Point & Shoot - it is easy to use, has nice features, comes in cool colours and is tiny! I got mine for about $100-$120 if I remember rightly.
DH got my Nikon Coolpix at Walmart, and I really enjoy using it. I still use my cell phone camera more, but it does take beautiful sharp pictures for a point and shoot.

And we're one month away now! :woohoo:

Checking in. We are all doing good after Sandy. Luckily we suffered no damage and only lost power for a few minutes at a time. There are a lot of trees and wires down around us but compared to other we are very lucky.

The wind last night was something to experience. We actually took our older son out an let him feel the strength of it (we never let go of him). It sounded like a freight train. The weirdest part was you heard the gist coming before you felt it. Our playhouses outside where blown from one side of the yard to the other and a small piece of siding came off.

We are still waiting to here from the campground in Cape May my parents keep their trailer at.

I hope the trailer is ok too

Oh, good! I'm glad to hear that you are both okay.
But Mom2Cody, it would not surprise me if your parents' trailer is no more. :worried: Cape May has been in the news - I remember the coverage because of the Cape May Cafe, it caught my eye because it's the real Cape May.

That's what we'll be doing. Booking either BWV or BCV for F&W. I'd like to try BC next time, but that would involve blocking out time for Storm-Along Bay and with only 3 full days at F&W, I'm not sure we want to spare the time.

You can use snack credits for the F&W booths. However, FD at a Deluxe would get you a lot more TS credits than you would want to use if you were doing F&W. When we go to F&W we don't eat anywhere else. Also, generally speaking, you save more with a RO on a Deluxe than with FD.

That's exactly what I'm hoping to do. A RO bounce back is what I'm hoping for.

We are about 15 min from the beach in Cape May and 15 min from Wildwood in the other direction. We most likely don't have flooding but there are a LOT of big trees around the camper so we'll see.

Just saw headlines that Disney bought Luca Films and plans to release a new Star Wars movie in 2015. Thoughts?

Thats ok - we're just happy to hear from you! You are our last check-in and we were getting worried. Glad to hear you're all ok. :yay: :yay:

Hope your DS is doing ok, must be pretty scarey for him.
