We’ll be needing a wheelchair rental (possibly powered) for my husband on our upcoming trip. Is it possible to rent one at the Grand Californian that we can take into the parks as well?
The issue, sadly, is that my husband was found with a glioblastoma. The timing works out that our trip will be during the four week rest period between ending radiation and going back on chemotherapy. Our doctors all say that taking a trip is fine, and a good idea, but we have no idea how much fatigue he’ll have from the radiation. I’m debating whether to see if we can get a handicapped room. He doesn’t need help for that walking around the hotel room, but a shower with a grab bar and seat would be good. My main concern is just getting from the hotel to the parks and back. We want to make the most of whatever time he has left.
