One of my cameras is a basic Nikon coolpix- I've gotten great shots with it!

I haven't had time to read all of the posts I've missed since last night, but I just wanted to check in with everyone this morning.

I'm really thinking about all of our DIS friends that are being affected by Sandy. I've been watching TWC and the images are just unreal I really hope you are all safe and there was not too much damage in your areas!!!

Yes, even though Sandy was a category 2 hurricane when she hit us, we didn't get near as much destruction from her the way the US is getting it Just heartbreaking to think of all those millions of people affected in one way or another, some of my friends and family members included

Awesome! The one I have just produces not so focused photos and it is driving me nuts. My cell isn't much better even though it is an Iphone! (I had a few friends say their Iphone camera was great, mine not so much). Considering doing a trip report so I want good pics.

I just bought the Canon Powershot A2300 for my son for $98 on Amazon. I used it this weekend and its nice and super tiny and light. There's also one just above it (the A2400?) that has a few more features for not much more cost.

I hope everyone is ok. I haven't had much communication with my friends and family in the ny/nj area. : / now I'm relying on news sources which has its ups and downs. I hope everyone is ok and this storm is moving farther west than we thought it would. The winds have died down and we have 4 days of rain to look forward too. Here to hoping the storm loses its intensity as it tracks west and eventually north.... :hugs: to everyone out there!!

Well, we lost power last night but it came back after a few minutes. Maybe all the repairs they did after the derecho helped. Looks like northern Virginia go the worst of the outages this time.

So Im working from home again today because the offices are closed. But looks like we'll be business as usual tomorrow. If school is open tomorrow I'm actually off for a volunteer day. Unfortunately the school book fair was scheduled this week. Losing two days will hurt. On the plus side, Halloween is back on.

good morning everybody, hoping everybody on the East Coast are okay.
We should be getting Mickey mail sometime this week - one month from today i will be taking the dog to his babysitter then we will be heading to the airport.

So yesteray I booked the CP package with Trace Adkins (DD is a fan) and the fantasmic dinner package! So excited! In 20 trips this will be the first time we have done either! Heck this will be a trip of many firsts!

First time in Dec, first time seeing Osborne Lights, first time seeing new Fantasyland, first time first time seing new test track, first time staying POR in AB, first time eating at LTT..lol Im so exicted now if the crowds will just cooperate!

But they still haven't cancelled classes yet. Over 250 schools in the county are closed, including all of Cleveland Public Schools, but none of the four major colleges have cancelled class yet. *rolls eyes*

Hope they cancelled. It is nasty down here so I am sure it is worse up by the lake!! We should not have snow in October!!!!!

Wow!! I am excited for your trip now!! I love Trace Adkins and I bet with his voice he does an awesome show of the CP. Osborne Lights are AMAZING!!!!!

Good morning everyone!!! Glad we have heard from a few of our east coasters. I am WAY far inland and we had major wind and rain all night and now snow this morning, so I can only imagine what they got hit with.


Another day with nothing to plan or change. I had a scheduled meeting with my boss today so I got a bunch of stuff done yesterday, and she cancelled the meeting. So I have a little free time today.
