Congratulations. :thumbsup2

Feels good doesn't it? The only thing left is trying to figure out what food, what ride, and what ride to avoid after food.

Happy Friday!!!!
Just think next Thursday is Nov 1st, so we will be able to say "I'm going to Disney NEXT month!!" And some of you will be able to say "I'm going to Disney THIS month!!" :dance3:
And 2 weeks from today is the first MVMCP!!!!!!!!!!! :santa:

Good evening everyone :wave2:

Got a coupon via e-mail tonight for 20% off at the Mall of America location Disney Store. Unfortunately the store is small and I rarely find anything there. Hoping to get a coupon for online soon as I really want a Pluto Pillow Pet and they don't have them at the MOA store. Keeping my fingers crossed.

DH e-mailed me a link while at work today to play-sets online on the Disney store. He said he kind of wants to start collecting sets. He is so cute. I love that my DH really loves Disney as much as I do :)

ya the Disney store at MoA is small, but still seems to be one store that we go to first when on a short visit to the mall(just a short 3 hrs from home).....we dont have any others close.....looks like I will be online shopping today-a Disney card(have 2 more to get..)not sure on the shirts, kids all want to buy down there and I only can have some controll over the youngest and that is even getting hard!

I couldn't do that. I live outside Philly where I can be to any given store in 10/15 minutes. We lives 60 miles north or Pittsburgh and our options were Walmart or giant eagle. The closest decent mall was either in OH (an hour away) or Pittsburgh (over an hour away)

Where did you live north of Pittsburgh? I grew up in Cranberry Twp/Zelienople.

That's the BEST feeling ever.

Wow, I didn't realise you were so remote. How cool though - such a diverse move, was it because of work? I remember when I first moved here I couldn't sleep because it was too quiet. In London you are so used to people walking up and down the street you live on all night long & traffic that there is a constant noisy hum.

 No Target!?!?! Thats tragic - poor happy tink who has no Target

No target here too!! I miss target around christmas time.

My father passed away suddenly so I was not in the best emotional state. Everything in NJ reminded me of him so I decided we needed a change. My husband declined a promotion and we picked up and moved. I needed to be away from my family (still do haha) and needed a change. Plus at the time home values is NJ were ridiculous. So we transfered - both my husband and I work at Home Depot (thankfully its one of the stores we have up here!!) we found a store manager willing to pay us at our NJ rates (and he got his monies worth!) and we bought a house and transfered all in 6 weeks. It was a great move in some aspects. We love vacationing up here and living in the white mountains is beautiful. Intially the travel to work wasn't so bad (1hr commute) its a cute town, very "new england", and Dartmouth College is there and is affiliated with the hospital - so we have great medical care for us. Now, the commute is terrible - winters are too long and where we live schools are terrible. So it's time for a change. We are seeking warmer weather, good schools, my husbands family and things to do aside from hiking. However, we will always come up here to visit on a vacation here and there - it's too beautiful not to. I now work at a different HD (about 30 min north) and I can see Mt Washington from there. Its gorgeous and when we do get out of here I will miss that greatly....

Edit: Oh and its insanely quiet here - I lived not farm from Staten Island in NJ and between the noise and eternal twilight (light pollution - could never see the stars wells) it was a HUGE change!!

I totally get that. I believe in doing bold things in life because it makes you think outside of your comfort zone, appreciate what you have or haven't got and gives you a different, broader perspective on life. What you've done is enriching. I hope that your next stage of life goes well and that you enjoy the adventure .... and that you move near to a Target :rotfl:

:wizard:
I can't buy clothes online at all - I have terrible fitting issues what with my height etc. Same with shoes, have to try those on.

Couldn't do groceries for the same reasons as you also as I like to pick all my own veg & meat .... which is why I never shop in Walmart .... I'm one of those people opposed to the processing industry so I do most of my shopping in Publix as their fresh stuff is the least meddled with. Yeah. I read too much :rotfl:

I am very much a farm to table type person and hope where I may end up I can at least find a whole foods to buy a decent selection of organics. However it is pretty awesome to talk to the people who harvest and grow your food. I've learned so much. My other big thing is cleaning chemicals and with 7th Generation being based out of Burlington VT (Awesome town!) its very easy to get them reasonably priced at our co op.

Good news!

Southwest's prices for our flight went down AGAIN!

This has been about the 5th time we've rebooked our flights, saving us mucho RR points.

So not only do we get a few more points back into the account, but now I have enough to get another $50 gift card of my choosing.

Everyone who's flying SW, check your prices!!

Where did you live north of Pittsburgh? I grew up in Cranberry Twp/Zelienople.

I've been to Zelienople, we went for a work event.

I'm originally from Philly.

I can't buy pants online. They never fit right. Shoes I can sometimes buy online. Being in NYC we have just about everything, but I miss the outlets. The closest are an hour away. I prefer to buy my clothes from the Ann Taylor and Loft outlets.

I'll be buying our PP+ on payday next week.

Just got the ok to work from home on Monday and Tuesday if Sandy hits like she's supposed to.

I used to love going to the Woodbury Outlets in NY.... That was outlet heaven! You could always go to the outlets outside of Newark Airport! Hehe that outlet mall ehhh not so great - but I checked it out once on an IKEA trip...

Wow, slow moving this morning! I only had to read through about 5 pages instead of 10+. Ok, here I go...

I just gave into the temptation :upsidedow

I'd say I'd work the extra calories off at the gym tonight, but I just realized I left my gym bag at home........drat! (grumbles to self about needing to remember to buy a second chlorine resistant lap suit so she doesn't have to take the whole gym bag out of the car at night anymore..........)

And I bet it was oh, so delicious!

I was well under my calorie intake yesterday. However, I'm going to have to do some type of exercise today b/c I've alreay used about 400 calories with breakfast alone ! I need to get some extra calories back toady!

And I would do what I called husband math. Everything cost 1/2 of what it really did. :lmao:

:rotfl: I wish I could do that, but DH and I look at the accounts so we know if either of us bought something.

I hate buying clothes online. It usually ends up in a return.

That's one of the reasons why I don't buy online much. I'd rather try it on at the store to make sure A) it fits, B) it looks good on me and C) not having to pay for shipping costs. With ordering online, I have to pay for shipping, wait for it to arrive and then try it on. If it doesn't fit or doesn't look good, back it goes, pay for S&H again, order again and wait another 5-10 business days for it to arrive. So much simpler to go to the store and avoid all the hassle. Especially if you are on a time crunch and need something by a certain date.

Test Track in Epcot will have a soft opening prior to the official opening but I'm not sure about media closings and stuff.

Oooh, I hope that is true! I really don't want to miss that, it's DS10's favorite ride!

:woohoo: :cool1:! Don't you just love the paid off feeling! Congrats!

We're in the same boat as you now - saving up the spending money we will need while down there!

Same here. With grocery stores so close to one another here, it's much easier for me to go out and do my own shopping. I like to pick out the meats I'm going to buy. I also find that sometimes the store's web site does not have everything that is in the store. For example, I need to get one package of pre-packaged diced ham for a recipe. I saw it Shoprite yesterday when I did my bi-weekly shopping. When I checked online, it wasn't on there and this is something they always have available.

How much time would you allot for travel between AK and EP using disney transport? I'm wondering what time we should head out of AK to get to EP for an 8:10 Rose and Crown ADR.

I would leave AK at 6.30 (if its open til 7 that evening) that way I think you will have enough time to take it leisurely :)

If you are out there, we are thinking about you and hope you are safe and sound.

Ok fine that can be your excuse. Gotta love a fire alarm in the middle of an exam. :faint:

Did you buy anything from the Disney Store yet?? :hyper:

Haha, not yet. But I haven't really had time to look either. :/. Hopefully I'll have some time this weekend. I work at both of my jobs today (12P-2P for the first job, 5P-midnight for the other one)...and I have a bunch of homework to do this weekend (two essays and studying for a test).
