Yay!!!

We're 5 weeks from today!!!!!!!!!!!!

5 weeks from today, I'll physically be here at work, but my brain will already be on vacation... but really, how's that any different from any other work day?!? :rolleyes1

Can I tell you all, I'm already dreading that post Disney depression? Instead of PPD, it's PDD... ugh...

Luckily, we'll have Christmas right around the corner from when we return to sidetrack me, right? Hopefully?

Wow that seems close!! I am 7 weeks from tomorrow. So 7 weeks from now, I will be here at work. Probably chatting on here. LOL

Christmas definitely helps with PDD. You are so busy and it's fun. And you can show everyone your pictures. :goodvibes But then January sucks.

Happy early birthday to you!! I vote for stay in, grab some great take out food (like Chinese or Italian) and pop in your fave movie! Orrrr, go out and get a mani/pedi done! Either way, enjoy your day tomorrow! :goodvibes

Thanks.. He'll be back in time for whatever he has set up for tomorrow night but I have most of the day to myself.

I have 6 weeks and 2 days until we leave. :yay:

We keep saying we won't take pictures because that's photographic evidence we were there without the kids... LOL

Before DBF decided to gift "us" with this vaca for our anniversary, I was hoping we'd go in Feb for the Princess Marathon weekend... hmmmm, maybe I can ask for that as my Christmas gift?? LOL :sad2:

Oh yes, I forgot about your backwards surprise trip. LOL An album full of pics would not be good.

I'd take pics but not show them to the kids. You could show them some you took around DtD or anything that isn't the park.

It's your vacation!!

Good morning all. THings are crazy around here. We officially put our house on the MLS listing last night and a couple are coming to look at it at 1:00. My husband agreed to get a cleaning team in here this morning-yea! Homes are selling fast around here which freaks me out!

Anyway we are down to 35 day or so. I always have to check with my son for the exact count. Pretty soon I can say I am going this month. :yay:

PDD stinks. The only known cure is booking another Disney vacation ;) I'm sure I'll be so busy scrapbooking all the pictures from this trip that the bad PDD won't set in until February or March, but with no summer trip planned (yet), when it does hit I expect it'll be ugly!

I'll be at 7 weeks next Wednesday, but between now and our vacation I've got:
Proctoring the ACT test (tomorrow and hopefully again in December)
Halloween
A weekend trip to St. Louis to see Mom & Dad's new condo
A Board Meeting for work
An Alum Board meeting for my university
My youngest niece's cheer competition
TWO musicals in our theater season ticket package (I'd tell y'all to shoot me before I have to sit through Les Mis, but then I'd miss our Disney vacation :lmao:)
Thanksgiving
Girl Night to go see Thunder From Down Under (not that I enjoy that kind of "entertainment" :snooty:, I'm just going because my 1/2 sister got the tickets and it would have been rude to decline ;))
The Christmas party for work

I'm betting the next 8 weeks will go fast

Hi Gina - good luck in the house sale... We're 35 days from today too! Awesome game last night, too! Go Giants!

See, I think booking a trip for Feb for the marathon weekend would be great! Not to mention you get discounted tickets and room rates if you're signed up to run!

Thunder from Down Under... interesting way to pass the time even if you're ONLY doing it to avoid being rude... :cool2: good reason, may have to use that one next time...

I concur on Seacaucus. The ones In Tinton Falls, NJ are ok. I just really like Woodbury. The ex's family had a house in the Poconos so we'd be at Tannersville a few times a year.

And Woodbury has a Disney Store Outlet!

Well the Disney outlet settles it... The rest may as well not exist to me! :)

All I heard was "blah, blah, blah NEW DOG blah, blah, blah"

:cheer2: I love dogs  :cloud9: they are awesome. The only species in the world that will love you more than him/herself. My life wouldn't be complete without my dog. Her name is Sally and she's epic!

I love my dog too :) he is so awesome - he has a few downsides that he barks A LOT and he is a jumper bc he gets so excited. He is part German Shepard (smart & protective) and part black lab (crazy & kooky) and he is a blast. My husband is salaried and works so much, I'd be so lonely with out him! Plus the whole safety aspect he sleeps under my daughters windows outside during the day during their naptime. The bond is absolutely amazing ;)

Our new dog is Chessie. She's a Portuguise Water Dog, same bread as the last dog we had. She's 10 years old. We got her as a rescue from a family that loved her very much, but the husband had a career change and now needs to travel a lot. And since the wife wants to travel with him, they wouldn't be able to give Chessie the attention she deserves. So we're very happy to have her :)

Good news!

Southwest's prices for our flight went down AGAIN!

This has been about the 5th time we've rebooked our flights, saving us mucho RR points.

So not only do we get a few more points back into the account, but now I have enough to get another $50 gift card of my choosing.

Everyone who's flying SW, check your prices!!

Where are you flying from? How much did you pay for your airfare?

We are flying United LAX - MCO for $280 rt. I thought that was a really good deal, that's one reason we are going at the beginning of December, cheaper airfare.

I have a son in WV and for him to fly to MCO it was $250 rt! Crazy huh? :scared1:

Ok everyone.....If I mention the Disney Store website again, someone yell at me or something. Must. Stop. Spending. Money.

You can be my personal shopper. Heck, this whole thread can help me shop, since I'm obviously not spending enough time on the Disney Store. Anytime someone wants to go on the Disney Store, they should just go to the men's department and look at options for me to buy! It'll fill y'all's need to spend time on the Disney Store with my lack of time to shop for myself!

P.S. Does y'all's make sense, or did I make that up?

So it looks like I am leaving you all. We're having to postpone our trip, my grandmother is not well, spent last weekend on a ventilator. She's home because there's nothing else they can do. They give her 2 months or so. So we're pushing our trip back to late February.

Enjoy your trips, have magical Christmasy times! & shop, shop, shop! pixiedust:pixiedust:

I may peek in from time to time as there seems to be no February thread!? :confused3 :faint:

We got Willey as a rescue puppy :) when we get another dog it will definitely be a rescue as well- probably older though. I had more sleepless nights with him than I did my two kids!!!

I hate buying clothes online. It usually ends up in a return. I have found 2 companies I can buy from with no fitting issues. My husband has issues with online clothes shopping too - I also couldn't buy groceries online either - the majority of what goes in my cart is fruit, veggies, dairy. Very little packaged food and with how my kiddos eat its every week I am looking for a new food for them to trick them with ;) I did used to get some things like diapers, wipes, formula (thank god I don't need to buy formula anymore!) but I found them cheaper at other stores. Shoes are sooo hard for me too- but I have found Keens and I swear they made them for my feet!! However electronics, larger toy purchases, books, kids clothes no problem online. I also wish we had better toy shopping - I buy most online but occasionally spur of the moment things are fun and its so hard.

Me and Amazon prime = bad news. Over shopping galore! :) One reason I also refuse to keep my credit card on file at the Disney store website!

I do a lot of returning. I'll often buy the same item in multiple sizes or colors. But some stores (Old Navy, Gap, Lands End) make it super easy to return - just slap a label in it and they charge $5 for shipping via UPS or USPS. Even for the ones that don't, Staples is right down the street so it's still closer than the mall. And I just like the luxury of trying things on at home.

I'm also fortunate to be able to get delivery from a local dairy and an organic produce place. I get those weekly and then get regular groceries delivered a couple times a month. Although our grocery store doesn't do too bad at picking decent produce either, as long as its in season. DH does all the cooking so he tends to stop at Wegmans periodically for higher end meats and fish but all the staples get delivered.

We haven't heard from discookiemonsta in a long time? I've been half way watching the weather channel. Looks like Sandy will also mess with WDW! Stay safe everyone!

It's very windy here today, our first of the season. Wouldn't you know the gardner came yesterday! :worried:
