Looked at a house we liked for the 2nd time today and may be making an offer. Also putting our house on the market. My husband pointed out that if things line up right (a couple wants to see our house on Friday) we may have to close during the first week of Dec. I told him 'not going to happen'

Anyway wanted to share this stained glass window with everyone. Reminded me of something.....

Shoot the image is small! Oh well it is a vase of red roses in the entry way

Good luck with all the house stuff. When we bought our house I think we rescheduled our closing like 4 times. Such a pain.

So I decided to make a PTR since I can't sleep. Feel free to check it out :)

not quite sure what i have been thinking but is there going to be a soft opening for FL during the first week of Dec.:santa:

My understanding is that it is open now and barring problems or private events, it will continue to be open through Grand Opening.

Ok, roll callers, I'm working today and won't be able to be on the boards until the kids go to resource. Keep it down now.

Tomorrow we're going to a cabin with no wifi or cell service. Wanna hedge bets on how many pages I'll have to catch up on Sunday night?

This sounds like a challenge...

Very well. Challenge accepted.

*sings* Goooooood Morning!

The morning was dark & crisp and yet again we have another busy day ahead of us guys ..... talking Disney & counting down those months, weeks, hours. Life is good :goodvibes

I really need to finish off my tri-fold. Its a regular sheet of paper, folded brochure style with our schedule and must-do's. I wanted to do this as it will fit in everyones bag or even pocket, plus, having a huge binder kinda makes the trip intimidating

However, I do want to take a small binder with photo album pages so I have pockets to organise all paperwork & tickets that have to be taken (PP+ voucher, La Nouba, MVMCP, print out of ADRs from WDW site etc etc).

Ooh yay - more coffee :goodvibes

hmmm, we seem to be running at least 15 pages a day lately so I'm thinking 45-50, more if you include today. Part 4 here we come...

Perfect! And let me just say.....until I met my husband (he's from Ohio) I had never heard of anyone calling a hat a toboggan. His whole family does! I'm just a mid-western hick. :lmao:

Ohio here--My grandma calls a hat a toboggan, but I think she is the only one. She also calls a couch, a davenport and a purse is a pocketbook.

So she will be in her holiday dress only during Xmas party at enchanted tales?

No, I think she will be in the gold dress like she normally is for Enchanted Tales. The only red dress that WDW mentioned was in Epcot, closer to Christmas.

My goodness, a girl gets busy and this tread goes haywire. No way to respond to what I wanted too, other than ind disappointed in valgoof not buying anything. Lol I haven't even had a chance to look again since this morning. Lol

Sorry, to disappoint. I will try to do better. :goodvibes

Hey everyone, it's me again :goodvibes

Well, now it looks like Sandy is coming straight for us and is now forcasted to be a category 1 hurricane:sad2: I'm so upset about it, but so thankful I have my husband home with me. I may or may not lose power tomorrow so I'll check in with you all, if at all possible!

Yikes!! Be careful and stay safe!! :grouphug:

I would say we can get to Part 4 by then, but we seem to get quieter on the weekends. I will go with 55 pages.

My neighbour does that - makes me giggle every time because I just imagine people with a toboggan on their head :lmao:

My friend (who is real southern, like in the movies haha) calls a purse a pocketbook.

Never heard of a couch being called a Davenport but I love that! My couch is now called Davenport :)

Thought so ... its after an American furniture company, Davenport http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davenport_%28sofa%29

So my grandma isn't crazy? :lmao: She also says "tinky bit", as in a small amount or a little bit of something. And when she takes a picture she says "Say fuzzy pickles" instead of "Say cheese".

Just to bring it back to Disney. Grandma and grandpa have been to all 50 states, but they have never been to any Disney park.

I agree with the toboggan on their head :rotfl: Never heard of that. We did call a couch a davenport but usually we called it a divan. I don't know where that came from. We always called a purse a pocketbook. It's kind of amazing how different parts of the country call things by different names, isn't it?

I'm real southern - genetics and environment (think my grandma still lives on the family land - not in an antebellum house though, it was burned by Sherman) and we say purse. BUT my aunt, (same family) who lived in NC for years and year, she says pocketbook.

Toboggan's are called "'boggans" around here, granted we only need them maybe once every 2 or 3 years and they are knit hats you wear on your head.

It is! This always fascinates me. Divan, as I know it, is the box bit that goes under your mattress.

Oh interesting! Your use of Divan is of Turkish origin, my use is British origin (makes sense!) Divan
