Does anyone know if the boats from Ft. Wilderness and MK run during MVMCP? Reason I'm asking is if we go to the 6:30 Hoop De Doo, I was hoping to bounce over to the TTC and catch the fireworks! Not sure how to accomplish that other than taking the boat? Will there be buses available to go to the TTC?

On another note, I used to have those sketchers! I loved them. And thanks for reminding me that I need to get a new pair of shoes and break them in stat!

I have read you can see the fire works from the beach at FW too but I am not sure.

I want to grab a Dole Whip. Eat it while sitting on the bench near Swiss Family Robinson, then I want to take a ride on Pirates! Yo Ho Yo Ho

That sounds like a fabulous idea!!

I lost 50 pounds after my second child, I never lost the weight I gained, I actually gained more , I was at 160 and finally got determined and lost all my weight, I went down to 112, and now I'm at 125-130 that was two years ago, I started again gaining weight and I need to be determined again! My Disney photos in 2010, are awful, I was not looking so good, so when we went in 2012, the pictures were lovely , it is really such a challenge, even after getting at your weight you would like to be, maintaining it , is even more difficult , dieting is not a diet it's a lifestyle

Congrats on your weight loss! How did you lose the weight? Any tips. I want to
lose weight for my upcoming trip to Disney! =)

So trying to find shoes.... Here are a few options...

$45

$75

$55

I want something that is cute with jeans. I imagine I will be wearing those or cropped pants on vacation mostly.... I think the brown would be most versatile for my wardrobe too... Suggestions?

I love them all! Get the first brown pair (but I will warn you you will need the liner socks that hide way inside your shoe)! Then get the blue pair too. I had my favorite crocs that were those same colors and I wore them to death and now they are extinct and I can't find them anymore! :(

I have that exact pair of black sketchers! You can wear socks with them, the insole on them is fantastic, and the traction on the bottom of the shoe is just as good as any pair of tennis shoes. In fact, wearing them feels almost exactly like wearing a pair of tennis shoes. During the fall and winter I wear them 3 or 4 times a week. I've had them for 2 years now and they still look great, I just had to replace the insole last year because it'd gotten pretty worn down. You shouldn't have any problems wearing those at WDW.

I am so excited to get them now! The grey ones came yesterday and while thy fit nicely, they don't have a very good arch. I'll have to get an insole.

Haha I am a giant weirdo and if need be wear socks with even crocs. I love argyle socks too which adds to my weirdo ness.... I might get a pair of the liner socks just in case for when I wear a dress or two ;)

I've already shown my husband the other style so maybe he gets the hint!

I would think that all Disney transportation would run normally, regardless of the MVMCP or not:confused3

I am counting on this to be the case because we are heading to Trail's End at Fort Wilderness on a MVMCP night so we can do the Wagon ride at FW after dinner and not have to worry about transportation late that night since MK will be closing late due to the party.

Can anyone confirm all of this for us?

So my two kids are 3 and 15 months... I was trying to think of a way to best identify my 3 year old bc she is a free spirit. I was thinking a necklace with our cell, but worried she might not wear it, the business card in pocket but not all of her clothes have pockets.... Safety tats too but if she's wearing long sleeves.... What are you guys doing?

Can anyone confirm that resort pools are heated? I did hear this a few years ago on our last December trip so we decided to take the first sunny warm day and head to one of the waterparks. The water was freezing. There was no way it was heated, in my opinion.

Now that we are staying at AoA (big surprise for my girls:banana:) it would be fun to spend at least a little time at the pools, but only if they are really heated:laughing:

Yes they are. I believe they are kept at 80 degrees, but that could be wrong.

Another option that won't come off would be to get iron on transfer sheets you can run through your printer at home. You can print your name and cell on the transfer sheets and then iron them onto the inside hem of her shirts, or maybe on the back of her shirt somewhere if you don't want the info covered up.

And if you're really worried about her running off, there are those toddler harness things that are pretty much like a dog leash for kids. It's a drastic measure, but if she's REALLY good at wandering off it would give you some peace of mind.

We actually found a lost 4 year old boy at Disney World. I can't remember which park now. He was strolling along, not crying. I have a habit of watching single kids that look like they are far from the next adult. I walked up to him and asked him if his parents were around and waited awhile until we were sure they weren't nearby. We asked the nearest cast member what to do and she actually didn't know but called someone and told us where the lost and found was. When we got there we couldn't find anyone working at first because she was in the back. Then when I told her I wanted to wait with him (the parents called and were on their way) she said "I know how to do my job" Needless to say I was disappointed with Disney at that point and should have complained.

Anyway, that said, when I was in line for the Peter Pan ride last time we were at DL there was a toddler with a cell phone number written in large numbers right on her arm with a Sharpie. I thought that was really smart and easy-no chance of losing the information, no need to include any more info than that. If that was the case with Zach, the boy we found, it would have left out the middle man.

I've read a lot of parents make sure to take pictures on their phones every morning to have handy in the case they need to show a CM. Also helps remember what they're wearing...

My son was never the type to run around as a toddler so we never got a harness but I met my son's teacher's 3 year old at an outside school event a couple of weeks ago. Her father was chasing her the whole time. I actually thought 'I would have no problem using the harness at WDW with her!'

Yeah. We lost my niece at the Renaissance Festival once when she was almost 3. Took 2 hours to find her, and we were all really freaked out. We jury rigged a harness out of fancy cording that went with her fairy princess outfit the next year! Sometimes the peace of mind is worth looking like an idiot for having your kid on a leash.

They are actually black ;) I am so torn between all three! The black ones were $55 priced in the middle of the two brown pair...

I have Keens like the one you posted. I am wearing them now. I LOVE that style. Super comfortable and supportive. Looks great with jeans and capris.

Also: curious to read the responses you get to the question you posted about your little ones. There are usually posts about that also on the family board on here. That is something I need to add to my TO DO list.

Happy FRIDAY everyone! One day closer to Disney and the weekend is HERE!

Check the transportation forum for the December rentals thread. On there someone's posted a great code for Budget. Then check Mousesavers, there's a Budget coupon on there for a free upgrade you can use with the code on the forum thread. Got a full size car for $50 a day for Dec. 19th - 23rd that way!

Checked and prices are still around $200 for the time we will be there for a midsize. Guess I'll just stick with advantage and pray for the best.

Do you have a picture of this harnessed princess???

We lost our son at DL when he was 5 for about 3-4 minutes in this climbing area with only one entrance/exit and freaked out so I can't imagine what you went through.

That is so AWESOME you're going to reach your goal and then some before the trip! Definitely gives me more inspiration to not cheat on my Weight Watchers points and to keep up with going to the gym :thumbsup2

Well, I'm trying isa but scarred this morning to climb on that pesky scale. I felt so heavy this morning but I guess it was in my had since I know I've been cheating.
