WOW. I've been on this forum site countless times since we started planning our trip last year and somehow completly missed these threads. We're leaving on the 27th and our first day at disney will be on the 28th and we're staying through the 3rd of Jan. 10 of us staying at all star movies.

Can't wait!!

WELCOME!!! pixiedust:

WELCOME!!!! You are amongst very excited people :thumbsup2

Meh. Something the DISboards are very good at is the half glass empty syndrome. You KNOW it is going to be busy. Forget the crowd calendars, I can tell you how its gonna be - either really crowded or really really crowded. The numbers mean nothing.

Just make sure you have a kind of plan in the sense of know what rides you have to do, what time parades etc are and where you would like to eat.

You'll have a great time, ignore the naysayers *blows raspberry at naysayers* :thumbsup2

I think they say it b/c they want everyone to quit going, so there is more room for them. :lmao:

I also got some similar responses during the beginning of my trip planning when I asked a few questions about crowds etc. and some of the answers just aggrevated me, so I've stopped asking anything to do with Christmas crowds etc:headache:

We will be there over Christmas. We know it will be crowded...how crowded noone really knows until we are there experiencing it ourselves. Any everyone's version of 'crowded' is different, so who knows!? I don't focus on all the negative anymore...

I focus on being able to spend Christmas at Disney and soaking in the Christmas atmosphere and everything Disney has to offer at Christmas. That's it!!!

If it was that aweful, why would so many people keep going back at Christmas?

I am very excited about our trip...Christmas at Disney has always been a dream of ours:goodvibes

PREACH! This is my idea too. Quit raining on my parade, dang it.

Okay, I'm trying desperately to move a lunch ADR by 15-30 minutes. Does that mean I'm over-planning? :lmao:

Hope not, b/c I have done that at least 5x with this trip. :lmao:

So sorry!! :grouphug:

Oooo. I haven't ordered mine yet. I definitely will now. I hope it isn't just for today because I CANT FIND MY WALLET!!!!!! :scared: Sorry, trying not to freak out. I went to Walmart at lunch and opened my purse to pay and it wasn't in there. The last time I remember using it was yesterday at work when I checked my bank balance to make sure we got paid. So I was hoping it was lying on my desk, but it is not. Now I am hoping it is at home somewhere, but I didn't use it for anything last night so I dont know why I would have taken it out of my purse.

I would be a nervous wreck. I hate not being able to put my hand on my wallet. I'm sure it has something to do with being a victim of ID theft, but I freak until I have it back. DH - is SO bad about putting his debit card in his POCKET after using it. It has caused many a fight. ugh.

Oooo I want to be added to the roll call!!! Hope im in the right spot :). My mom and I and my two little girls are leaving on Nov 28 thru the 8th of Dec. We are soooooo very excited!! (:3

WELCOME!! pixiedust:

Make sure you look in between seats in your car, mine always manages to tuck itself away .... like it panics "Oh no, please stop spending my contents!!!"

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

If they HAVE TO make another movie, I hope they do the Thrawn trilogy from the books.

Doubt it, they said they are working from the outline made by Lucas back in the 80s when he was considering making 7-9.

So excited now that I've seen the MVMCP, which really makes no sense, but whatever! I'm so glad I went ahead and bought my partner and myself tickets, and I'm even more glad that we changed our plans to fly down the night before. We might actually make it 'til midnight!

I just bought a hot little black dress for our date night at Cali Grill. A little incentive for DH to get in the Disney spirit? LOL. (Yes, I did take a pic of myself in it! ;))

Love it!! :lmao:

Usually they'll send you an email that says something was wrong with the credit card and give you the chance to change it. That's what Amazon does anyway.

I hope they do that.

Havent looked at this yet, but YAY!!! I didnt expect it this early. :santa:

Came home from work a little early. No wallet in car or house. Luckily I had a stash of cash at home, so I grabbed some and put gas in my car. (Cant remember the last time I prepaid instead of using my card). Then went to DMV to get a new drivers license. Then went to my bank to stop my debit and credit card. The bank fraud dept had already put a hold on my account because my debit card had been used yesterday for over $2000!!:scared1: I never use my debit card and that is way more than was in my checking. So the teller called the fraud people and then I talked to the fraud lady. Both said the charges would be taken off, no problem. I just have to go back in and dispute the charges if they post to my account. Should know that tomorrow. So now I know someone has my wallet. Creepy!! I came home and called all my credit card companies (way too many). I think I got them all. Everything else in the wallet were various rewards cards, library card, nothing that can hurt me. Oh, I need to call and get a replacement health insurance card. Phew!! So now I have no credit cards for 7-10 days!! DH is pretty happy about that. Ok thanks for reading. I know many people have worse problems today, but this was my drama.

We want to see!

I have a question for everyone- Delta just changed my flight to leave 30 minutes earlier. So now we are leaving at 5:35. I have an ADR at the Grand Floridian Cafe for 1:15. We are renting a car and it will be all packed up and waiting at the Grand Floridian. Should I move that ressie up? Also, we will not have to check bags and will have boarding passes printed at the resort.

Omg! I had my Amex used once after I lost my wristlet. They bought $100 worth of gift cards at a gas station.

I'm so sorry someone found your wallet and decided to use your cards. I hope they catch them.

But it's still not easy. Ugh I'd be freaking out!!! People are so screwed up. I'm glad your bank was understanding I fought and fought identity theft and it was so draining.

I would email or call any companies you have outstanding orders with, also don't forget and direct debits or bills you pay online!! Did you have a checkbook in there as well?

Maybe movie it up - if you have extra time you can gaze at the fantastic gingerbread houses!

Oh no, I'm so sorry  Glad your bank caught it though and had already put a hold on it. I hope you get it all sorted soon and nothing else pops up.

I still have my checkbook. :thumbsup2 I just mailed 2 credit card bills yesterday so I confirmed that they would be applied to the correct accounts. My only outstanding order should be the WS shirts at Disney Store. DH and I have separate accounts. He pays the real bills. I buy groceries and anything fun. :goodvibes

I'm on my bus. It's taking forever today and I'm still not near the broken crane.

Subways are closed. Buses are free. But it's sunny with blue skies. And the city is bustling.

I haven't heard of anyone having to go to Queens to just come back into Manhattan. I know if my normal bus wasn't running I would have had to have taken two.

On a happy note, we leave in 39 days!!!

That's good that the buses are free. I'm hoping I don't have any problems leaving LI to get upstate. Friends of my aunt and uncle are picking my mom and I up on Friday. We're going up for a babyshower for my cousin's wife.

As far as Halloween goes this year - pretty much cancelled due to Sandy. This is the first time I have ever heard radio stations telling everyone not to go trick-or-treating b/c of downed power lines and trees. DS is a bit disappointed, but he got to go out with Cub Scouts and has a small stash of candy.

Well, we got a call from the vet clinic this morning. Our poor Beethoven had been hit by a car and passed away. So I'm home from work to bury him today. PLEASE posts lots and lots of fun trip plans today so when I finally get back on here I have loads to smile and laugh about!

 I'm so sorry :sad1:
