Part 6

After watching LHS perform, we decided it was time to have some more fun. It still wasn’t time to use our Winnie the Pooh fastpasses, but our Peter Pan window had opened up. So we went and rode that. Sure was nice to go by that 90 minute wait. After riding Peter Pan, stepdad, Laura, and Allison rode the teacups, then we headed for Toontown Fair for some shopping. After this we realized it was late enough to check with Liberty Tree Tavern for openings. We had a PS for the following night, but desperately wanted to change it to tonight. We lucked out and were told to stick around for 30-40 minutes; they had room for us. Laura and I went to the Christmas store for shopping (are you seeing a theme here?) and the other 3 waited and the LTT for our name to be called. Laura and I returned, and sat for awhile, before our name was called. We were led to our table and dinner began. That dinner is one of our favorites. The food was great as always, and character interaction was super. When we left awhile later we were sufficiently stuffed. We headed off to Fantasyland, used our Winnie the Pooh fastpass, then headed for Buzz Lightyear. The line was long, and this was the first wait of the day that ended up being the length posted. After exiting Buzz (with an embarrassingly low score), we headed for Main Street, and claimed a spot for Spectromagic, right on the hub, more than an hour before the parade began.
We were rewarded for our patience, however. We got to see another NH band perform, this time the marching band from Hillsboro-Deering High school. They marched, along with 4 other bands before the parade.
When the parade began I was again reminded that this one just isn’t as good as the Main Street Electrical Parade. When the parade was over we walked down Main Street, in the direction of Caseys’. Our feet were dying at this point, and walking felt better than standing still. We were able to get a great spot for Wishes, which we hadn’t seen before. Wishes was amazing. Mom cried, again, and I had chills down my spine again. After Wishes we poked through the stores along Main Street, certainly not escaping all the crowds, but getting out of the park behind the worst of it. Headed for the bus stop, and stood for the short ride back to the Lodge. Hurried up to the room and arranged for another wake up call, knowing 7 am would come all too soon. But it had been an awesome day, despite the fact that all of us could hardly walk at that point. It was about 11 pm when we got back to the room, and we had left the hotel around 20 of 8.

Up next: Part 7 Lions, Tigers, and ...my sister??

Parts 7 and 8 are up. I have to pause now for dinner and calculus homework  :badpc: But hopefully I'll at least get part 9 up tonight. The rest may have to wait until tomorrow.
