Parksavers tix, quick question

I ordered a few weeks ago. Great deal, great customer service. They emailed me shortly after my order that they didn't have the 5 day +2 PH in stock so they ordered them directly from Disney travel and that is who mailed them to me (regular tickets). The PS customer service person asked if that would be a problem since obviously the mail would take a lot longer but for me it wasn't a problem. I never got the MDE linking numbers in an email.

I would definitely give them a call just in case it is a similar situation. I've dealt with UT who is also great and gives you the ability to refund tickets as long as they haven't been linked, but for the $ savings switched to PS.

Just curious. On average how long does it take to get the email. We ordered our tickets 6/30 and our 60 day FP+!window is 7/5. I'm starting to freak out that we waited too long. We had to save the $ to get the tix for the 5 of us and we just got it together. Should we be worried? Thx.

I asked them that same question on how long the sale is for and they told me July 31st . But that can change given Expedia is there partner

Now that this thread just popped up for me....we got an email, linked our tickets, selected our fast passes.....but will we ever receive and ACTUAL TICKET in the mail?? What if something goes wrong with all of this electronically?

No but you can go to a ticket window and pick up an rfid ticket

I think I'm understanding this correctly but if DH and I get the 7 day PH and use 5 days in September, we'll still have 2 days to use for our anniversary trip in November, correct?

No the tickets will expire 14 days after first use.

I didn't know the sale was ending July 31st. I may need to go ahead and buy some tickets.

If (IF) the sale does end July 31, expect there to be a different sale coming in. It could be even better (or not.) You just don't know in advance.

Ok so I know you can use a ticket like this on a new annual pass but can you use it toward a renewal? My DVC Gold is coming up soon and I'm on the fence. This could push me over with the savings.

I really don't think that this is possible?

Yep. Did it for both DH and DGD's AP renewal last month.

If I'm not mistaken the only catch is that you would have to do the upgrade from the 7 day ticket to the renewal AP in person. So as long as you would be traveling within your renewal window (60 days before or 30 days after AP expiration date) you could do it.

Sounds good. Thanks! I was thinking/hoping I had time since we got ours this year a few months ahead and it was a great deal.

Yep, adults must be done in person. We did DGD without her there

So would this help people like me who are in the unfortunate situation of having our APs expire on the third day of our December trip, thereby making it so that we can only use the 60 day fast pass window for the first two days, not ten, then have to do the 60 window all over again for the second part after our renewal window has opened and we've bought the passes online?

Would this work for all of in the same situation- to purchase tickets from Parksavers, link them to our MDE accounts, then bridge the tickets to DVC AP renewals once we are there...I believe it has to be done once you've use the tickets to enter a park? Would that circumvent this splitting of our trips and fast pass windows?

And once we link the tickets to MDE, are they considered valid media for our whole December trip for the purposes of making fast passes, or do we have to physically enter a park with them?

Hmmm. I'm still trying to figure out how that is possible?

If I'm @ the end/close to the final day of my 365 days for my current AP, then instead of renewing I could just use my UNUSED/Purchased (PS)-7 day PH Tix & apply it to the cost for the renewal.?

You don't have to wait until your final AP day in order to renew.
You can renew any time from 60 days before (and up to 30 days after) your AP anniversary date.
Just go to a ticket booth or Guest Relations and ask for an AP renewal. Then tell the CM you want to use a stand-alone ticket to trade in as part of your renewal payment.
The CM will subtract the current full price of the unused ticket of the same kind as you have from the current full price of the AP renewal.

Yep, it's that simple. I had 2 tickets bought from PS. Went to the ticket counter at AK, they applied the cost of the ticket (the cost Disney sells it for at the gate) to the renewal and I paid the difference. Since I paid about $75 less for the ticket than I would had I bought it from Disney I saved $75 on the renewal, on top of the renewal discount. In our case we did it about 2 days before the 30 day window closed because that's when our trip was. It does have to be done in person so you need to have a trip in your renewal window
