Parksavers tix, quick question

Ordered my tickets Saturday. Had the vouches about an hour & a half after ordering. Got my Disney confirmation numbers about 6:45 tonight. Had them linked to MDE within 5 minutes. Then had an immediate email from Disney Destinations saying I had successfully linked a ticket. Everything looks good! Just in time for making my fastpassess tomorrow!
This is exactly my scenario as well!

Can days be added to the 5 day hopper and water park ticket?

Yes.
You can add just one day... or more.
If you have a 5-day ticket, you can add up to an additional 5 days (10 total days is the maximum.)
Again, these are "real" Disney Magic Your Way tickets.

They have all the rights and privileges that do the tickets bought at the WDW ticket booths.
(In fact, they offer some extra advantages in that they cost less, and they can be price-bridged up to a higher value in an upgrade situation if Disney happens to raise ticket prices before your trip.)

Just to clarify, the VOUCHER must be redeemed by 12/31. That is for folks who want a physical ticket that is picked up at the ticket counter. If you plan to link to MDE and have MB, or plan to buy MB, then the date does not apply. Once the ticket is linked to MDE they are valid till 2030

Is this still the case?

I emailed Parksavers with this question:
Hi, I'm interested in purchasing some hopper tickets, but we are staying offsite and will not have magic bands.

Our trip is in February 2017.

If I purchase the tickets now, will I be able to link them to MDE and make fast pass + selections at the 30 day mark (in January 2017) even though I won't physically pick up the tickets with the voucher until February 2017?

This is the answer I got:
Great questions! Yes, that is fine. Great question! Our WaltDisney World tickets are actually non-expiring (we have them guaranteed through 2018, but expect that guarantee to extend each year), so going in 2017 will not be a problem. However, our calendar presently only goes through 2016. This is simply because our voucher creation software only goes through 2016. Please go ahead and choose any date in 2016 you would like for your trip to WaltDisney World. I personally recommend December 31st, although the date does not restrict your usage at all.
Once you have your confirmation codes, you can link your tickets to MyDisneyExperience and make those FastPass+ reservations in advance, as soon as your FastPass+ window opens.
I hope that helps,
Alaina H.

I guess I don't feel completely confident in that answer since she never addresses picking up tickets. (Although apparently it's a Great question! :sad2:) Has anyone else used PS tix without MBs? Does the voucher date really mean something for physical tickets? This is for my sister's family and I don't want to steer her wrong. TIA

If you buy a standard Disney ticket (Parksavers tickets ARE standard Disney tickets) they can be picked up any time.

Parksavers does not have their own tickets, they are standard Disney tickets, but are just sold through Parksavers.

If you link them to MDE, they don't expire until like 2030 or later, from what I understand.

A voucher would be what you would pick up if you did not link the numbers to MDE.

Really? Then they wouldn't be able to make FP+ at all. I thought the voucher was just to pick up the physical tickets b/c they don't mail them like UCT does.

As far as I understand it, if you link the tickets to MDE, I think you just get a plastic card at guest services that would be used to access the tickets on your MDE acct. I don't believe you would need to take the voucher, but I could be wrong.

Don't get caught up in the definition of a voucher.

Once the Parksavers (or Undercover Tourist, etc.) ticket numbers are locked into your MDE account, you CAN book advanced FP+ (30 days in advance or 60 days, if you are staying on-site)
and if you do have a MagicBand, you can just start using it to enter the parks (and to access FP+, etc.,) as soon as you get to WDW.

If you don't have a MB, you can just go to any ticket booth or Guest Relations and (using the voucher or just your photo ID and your MDE account) get hard plastic tickets to use at the park gates and for FP+.

First, I want to say thank you to everyone that has contributed to this thread! There is so much information here and so many helpful answers!!!

I have read through this whole thread and a couple of other ones, and I think I know the answer to this question, but I want to check to be sure. I understand that I can reassign these tickets to other people if our travel party changes, but if I buy 8 tickets total, is it okay to only use some of the tickets during one trip and then save the rest for another trip, or do they all have to be used at the same time if they are purchased together? Our trip will be an extended family trip (8 people, 3 families) and I want to make sure that if any of the families end up being unable to go, we could still use these tickets for this trip and then use any unused ones for a future trip. Thanks in advance for the help!

This is my first post for this trip. Going in March 2017. Absolutely love these boards for Disney trip planning!

Yes you could save some for later use. Once linked into MDE the ticket has a 2030 expiry date. So if you leave the ticket linked but unused it will be fine.
I will suggest either one or two of you linked all the tickets into their MDE account then assign to those who is going from there. And one more tips. If the individual that you are going to assign a ticket to has their own MDE account, once assigned, you will need them to reassign to you or someone else if they are not going... You lost the control right over that ticket. If they have no MDE account by themselves you can reassign as many time as you like.

Does anyone think the 7 day ticket (3 free) through Parksavers will still be available 8/1/16?
I was planning on purchasing on Monday and just realized that it would be August.

I was planning on purchasing on Monday and just realized that it would be August.

At some point someone on here had said that ParkSavers had told them July 31st, but I wanted to see if there was any chance that had been extended, so I sent them an e-mail earlier this week. If the lady correctly understood what I was asking (I was asking about that same, particular ticket), she said the sale had just been extended and they would be able to offer it through the end of December, but that sales are sometimes subject to ending early. So I'd say there's a pretty good chance that it'll be available after July 31st, but not necessarily a guarantee.
