I looked at the 10 day forcast for Orlando and they are predicting rain for Sunday Feb 19. How are the parks in the rain in February? It rained each day in the summer when we went, but it was hot an we dried off. I am concerned that Feb. may be miserable in the rain. We had planned to go to Epcot, but since our tickets are non-expiring I am wondering if we should just enjoy the Orlando area instead. I would hate to go to the park and be miserable and not get my monies worth.

It rained last Friday when we were there (all stinkin' day). We were at Epcot. We thought we were prepared with ponchos & an umbrella. We got soaked. Walking all the way around WS while cold & drenched is not fun.

Hi Amy,

First of all, Sunday Feb 19 is MUCH too far away for an accurate forecast. I suggest you check back a couple of days in advance. Long range forecasts still have a long way to go!

It can be quite chilly in February. Last time we were there it was in the 40s and raining lightly one day. Not terribly comfortable, but then again, we were in Disney and that was good enough for us!

It seems like rain clears the parks like nothing else. I experienced a rainy February day at MK. Panchos don't help much, but I bet a rain suit would. You can get those for not much. Every ride was literally "walk on" during that rainy day. Space Mountain had no line. Compared to an unbelievably crowded MK 2 days later, I would have taken the rainy day every time.

I am so discouraged by all the predictions of bad weathe for our trip. Since we go every year we are no in a mad race to see everything, but hoped for some time in the sun and to relax--no fun in the cold and rain. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the weather will clear.

I was really concerned about the rain when we were there last week, but I must say it really didn't bother us at all !! we were in Magic Kingdom and it rained pretty much all day, BUT there were no lines for any rides, we walked onto everything with NO waits !! If it rains, put on your ponchos and enjoy yourself ! :goodvibes

BTW.... It was pouring a lot of times during the day and we kept pretty dry since the ponchos are so long, so they do help !

Agreed, except do not, repeat DO NOT, ride Tomorrowland Indy Speedway in the rain, even while wearing an excellent Disney poncho. It's like sitting in a bathtub full of cold water.

BTW, if your excellent Disney poncho tears at the neck hole, as it is wont to do, Disney reportedly replaces it at no charge.

It wasn't any better at AK either! :sad2: Didn't see the sun till late Saturday, and than it was COLD! :rolleyes2

I HATE RAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

don't care what anyone posts about it...sunshine or not....it stinks!!!!!!!!!!!

One September trip it rained for 5 days straight...we couldn't even get our sneakers dry,.,..

ponchos or not...it ruined our whole trip,..kids were 7 & 8 then which also made a difference

We cut trip short and went home early

although I agree with another post that it is too early to tell which way the weather will turn..

but if 24 hrs ahead of your trip you still have 90% of rain all day...I would defiintely say ..........go to the movies....

others will dispute me

but IMHO, I would never walk around in the parks all day in the rain

Very cold! Chattering my teeth cold! Yep, those two days kinda stunk...

Thank goodness the weather got better after that!

We spent a few hours in the cold pouring rain at mgm a couple weeks ago and it was LAME!! yeah we walked onto/into everything but we soaked and freezing from the knees down (where the ponchos end). Off and on rain isn't bad and is dealable, but constant downpour, i'd skip it!

We were there in February a few years ago and it rained every day but our last. DD was disappointed that the last day wasn't rainy because the crowds increased considerably once the rain stopped.
