Beachcomber Isle is correct, William!
A not-so-deserted AAQ to you.

By the way, I believe the other two islands are called Shipwreck Marsh and Castaway Cay.

I honestly can't remember what questions have been asked before, so please excuse if it's a repeat.

What was Space Mountain originally going to be called?

Hello all!

Space Port!

 Thanks!

Okay....2 part question

How tall is the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and why did the Imagineers not want it any taller?

199 feet.
If they made it 200 feet, then they would have to put a red aircraft warning light on top. they felt this would ruin the effect, so they made it just short enough!

Oops, sorry for the delay...back to our regularly scheduled gaming....;)

And you are right...one death defying AAQ to you, KP! :thumbsup2

Boy, it's been many moons since I was here. For some reason, I have not been getting the update emails until today. Very strange.

Guess I'll use one of my oldy-moldy AAQ's from part 1:

Many of the animatronics used in Splash Mountain are actually transplants from what Disneyland attraction?

I have never posted here so I hope this is ok.

Was it "America Sings"?

I've never heard about America Sings or transplanting the figures before. Could you share a bit more of the story w/ us if you know? Sounds very interesting, thanks.

Thanks for the assist, dzneynut! It is amazing how the Disney folks have moved those attractions and characters around. I actually saw the original Caroussel of Progress as a young boy at the New York World's Fair. I grew up on Long Island and got to go several times. Remember the "space ship" towers from Men In Black? I was so scared of heights during the fair that my folks said I would crawl around up there, too afraid that if I stood up I would fall  .

Here's a softball to get things rolling again:

Who is the "Tony" of Tony's Town Square Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom?

I might be late handing out the AAQ...I'm off to the World in 24 hours for 8 days! I'll pass the duty of assigning the AAQ to someone else to keep things going.

Tony is the manager 'Tony's' restuarant in Lady and the Tramp.

Lucky you going to the World!:cool1: What a great time of the year to go. Have fun!!
