Haven't seen this question asked lately:
What is the first attraction to open at Walt Disney World prior to its counterpart at Disneyland?

Yes, Golf4283, a country hoedown AAQ to you!
(Jungle Cruise was one of the original attractions at Disneyland in 1955; and Pirates opened at DL in 1967, and at WDW in 1973. Country Bear Jamboree was an original WDW attraction in 1971, and opened at DL in 1972.)

sorry about that, I haven't checked the board in a couple days.

this might be too easy but, what was Walt Disney World originally supposed to be called?

I always thought it was just Disney World, w/ Walt added in his honor, since he had passed away? :confused3

Oh, well thanks for picking an easy question. Good to know I got it right, even if I was still confused :rotfl2:

I'm going to ask which attraction started out in the planning to be a restaurant & spawned not only an attraction, but a resort?

Hmmm...how about PotC? Turning into the attraction and then into...I don't know...Port Orleans Riverside? I'm pretty intrigued by this.:goodvibes

The Enchanted Tiki Room

Good guess DisneyCruise, but MickeyBabe has it correct.

Tiki was originally a dinner show in the planning stages. Ultimately the imagineering led to thoughts of the Polynesian Resort :cloud9: .

Aloha & an AAQ to you, MickeyBabe!

Thank you cabanafrau, judging from your avatar it was a very appropriate question for you to offer. ::yes::

What scrapped relic of the early WDW resort lay at the bottom of Seven Seas Lagoon after only a few months of attempted use?

:wave2:

OMG, that's actually a question I know the answer to, but I just played & I'll wait & see if someone else would like to step in with the answer. (I NEVER know any of these answers with all you Disney-buffs on here! :goodvibes )

Hi MickeyBabe!
You have signed up for the MagicMeet in July, haven't you? ;)

The answer to your question is a wave-making machine for the Polynesian Resort.

James, you are correct!

The wave machine cause beach erosion at the resort resulting in a loss of beach front and therefore was permanently dismantled.

A wavy AAQ card to James!

No James, I have not registered for the meet.

I could swear I asked a question?
Okay, a somewhat related question:
What is the name of the island closest to the Polynesian Resort?
And for a bonus, what are the names of the other two Seven Seas Lagoon's islands?

I'm pretty sure that Beachcomber Isle is the island near the Poly. As for the other two, I think one of them is Castaway Cay...not just a deserted island in the Caribbean!
