Parking with split stay

DH and I are doing a split stay and will have a car for our trip. On the morning we check out from CR, can we pack up the car and leave it there when we head over to Epcot in the morning or are we required to get our car out of the lot by check out time? I'd guess we'll be back from Epcot and ready to check into resort #2 by 1 pm unless we have FP+ for Epcot in which we'll sleep!

Yes you can leave your car at resort #1 for the day.
Why wouldn't you just drive to car to Epcot and then just go directly to resort #2 whenever you decide to leave Epcot, then you wouldn't have to waste the time going back to CR to get your car.

I agree, we had a split stay, our room wasn't ready, but we received our keys and text a room no. On a side note, at midnight after we returned to resort #2, our keys did not work. Yes, we made sure and even tried the old key, and our magic bands...we were at CB and not near any front desk. But, they came to us, took the keys and came back with new ones. We were exhausted.
But, in your case, I would just drive to the park then new resort if you are okay with the later check in. You will need a new key.
