I just made reservations for the Character Breakfast at
the Grand Floridian for next week. I am not staying there,
and the reservation agent said there's a "slight chance"
that if the hotel is full, then the parking lot that morning
could be full, and I would have to park at the TTC, and
then take the monorail to the Grand Flo. Has anybody
actually had this happen to them, or is the ressie agent
just covering his you know what? Thanks.

The parking for the GF is so far away that you might as well park at the TTC. That way you won't have to worry about the 3 hour limit they give in case you want to head to MK or another monorail resort.

We had lunch at the GFC a couple of weeks ago, and the lot was completely full, so we ended up valeting it. It was only $6, I think, and worth every dime. LOL =)

Yeah, the parking lot for self parking is insanely far away. We found that one out the hard way. The only close parking is for valet parking. I think I might try to park at the TTC next time depending on the day and the time of my PS.

I think they try to discourage self parking and encourage valet at the flagship resort.

DH and I stayed at the GF in April and the self park lot was full when we first arrived. DH had to wait for someone to leave. Which took a long time.

I would spring for valet if I were you!
