We're doing a split Universal/Disney stay in October. We're not interested in Halloween Horror Nights at Universal, so for our two Universal nights, I have FP+s booked at Disney (we're AP holders). We're thinking about doing Epcot on a Friday night. We likely wouldn't arrive until after dinner, so around 7 pm at the earliest. I assume the parking situation at Epcot will be pretty terrible by then. This will be my first time actually using a rental car to go to the parks at Disney, so I'm not sure what's my best option:

1. Parking in the Epcot lot. I assume we'll be pretty far away from the park gate.
2. Parking in the DHS lot and either boating or walking over to Epcot. Not ideal...we'd only be going to Epcot to ride a few rides and want to avoid the WS as much as possible.
3. Parking at the TTC and monorailing it to Epcot. This would probably be the kids' first choice, as they consider the monorail to be a ride in itself!

Thoughts?

I wouldn't assume that you would be parking far away if you chose to park at EPCOT. The early guests fill the close spaces, at 7pm, you will almost always be able to find something closer. The parking CM's are usually not parking cars at that hour.

Parking at the TTC or Studios are not ideal timewise. Parking at the TTC could take upwards of an hour to arrive at EPCOT when you factor in where you may be parking, tram time, possibility of waiting for an EPCOT monorail and then actual travel time to EPCOT.

Thank you! I wasn't sure if there is a big influx of locals who just come Friday nights and then gobble up all the close spots that have been vacated by pooped rope droppers!

While I totally get the allure of F&W, I want to make sure you know that it's only the Studios that has the HHN party. IOA will be open later than Studios. And there will still be tons of things to do at citywalk (like awesome minigolf) or if you are onsite at Uni you could relax at the pool, etc.
