We got up to deck 10 and there was some singing and dancing going on.
Boy was it WINDY! (again). People were holding onto their pirate hats and not wearing them, it was dark as heck, and you couldn't really see much other than the stage and the giant screen, which is all you're supposed to see at that point anyway lol.
My point? Well if I had spent $400 on costumes it would have been a bit of a waste. I understand some people do it for the sake of doing it, or for their pictures that night, and that's cool. To each their own. I'm just pointing out my observations and maybe next time we'd do t-shirts or something, but I can't see a full blown costume in our future, but for those who do, great.
I do like being on deck at night, as just with the parks, everything becomes a little more magical when it's all lit up:
We got to see Pirate Mickey and then it was time for the fireworks. My cam sucks taking pics of fireworks, but here's the "not-so-bad" ones. lol
After the fireworks, we all walked down to deck 9 and then right inside as it was getting really windy.
Notice anything missing? We didn't at the time. We were home in NJ a good 4-5 days and suddenly I remembered and said to Mary "Hey, we never DID do the pirate buffet." Nope, we didnt even see it. Not that we missed it, we were full from dinner. But we DID end up ordering food from room service around 1am, so it would have been nice to check out the buffet and see what was there. Maybe, take something back to the room for later? Oh well, next time.
After the fireworks we ducked inside and took the elevator down to the shops and did our nightly shopping routine. After shopping, Justin was feeling a little tired so Tom and the gang headed back to their room. We deided to go explore a little.
We headed out onto deck 4 for a little evening stroll.
Hey, who's that guy smuggling a beach ball under his shirt?
Detail on the wooden benches on deck 4. Nice!
If I go over, they're gonna need a MUCH bigger ring.
We saw a jogger making his rounds, and were intrigued. We knew you could go all the way around deck 4, but just where does it go? So we took a walk.
Walking toward the bow on Deck 4:
Up front we found the winches (sp?) for the anchors, and they also store a jet ski and some type of motorized raft looking thing up there.
After our stroll we went back into deck 4 and took a couple lobby pics:
We called it a night and headed back to our room. More FE goodies, and Walter had left us another animal. This time a puppy:
This was both nice, and a little sad, as we missed our puppy. Mama had a hard time leaving him for a week. We have an Italian Greyhound named (what else) Mickey. See? (this was the day we brought him home from the breeder, he is 1yr old now)
And here is his pics with santa (at petsmart) taken this week, he wanted lots of presents so he gave santa kisses and knocked his glasses off lol.
So, we missed our "puppy wuppy" as DW calls him, so of course she had to call petsmart and their "doggie hotel" to check on him. lol
All in all it was a great day.
Nassau? If you've never been I say go for it and get off the ship. Next time we may or may not, who knows. But it's worth it just to check it out once. Beer tasting? do it! Parrot Cay and Toy Story Musical? Our Favorites.
That pretty much sums it up.
Tomorrow is
Castaway Cay.
Will post more later.
