Park Reservation and Package/Ticket Changes

We currently have a package booked through Disney for this summer. We are debating switching to offsite due to the cost savings and less benefits of staying onsite. If I make park reservations now and then change my mind and book offsite and buy new tickets, will the park passes I book be canceled, or would they stick as long as I buy my new tickets before canceling the package? Not sure how quickly I need to make up my mind!

1. Do you mean park reservations?
2. The reservations will "hold" if you keep valid tickets (for your park dates) in your MDX account.
(I would buy the NEW tickets and connect them to your MDX account FIRST, then cancel the "package" with its tickets.)
3. Like anything else, that would depend on how busy WDW becomes for your trip dates.
