How is this working with the new reservation system? We are not doing park hoppers but have reservations for each day, but wondered about the option of leaving a park to take a break and come back. Is our reservation still good or do we risk the possibility of not being allowed back inside? Thanks,

I'm interested in knowing this as well. We are going to want to take mid day breaks at the resort and want to head back to the park later in the afternoons.

You will always be allowed to enter the park you have a reservation for at all times that day/evening, even if you leave and return later or, arrive for the first time later in the day.

Yes. You are guaranteed in the park you reserved all day even if you leave. Logically this makes no sense since no park has been closed to park hopping. I think since their capacity restrictions are self-imposed they must be going over capacity at times given reservations and additional park hopping guests. Disney obviously tracks all this stuff and knows what works out!

We had no issue re entering a park where we had a park pass. The mid day break was nice.
We also had no problem park hopping as long as we entered our first park with the park pass.

I believe Disney has lots of data on hopping, both pre-COVID-19 and this year, and uses it to set the park reservation limits. For example, they know from MDE data which guests have reservations for one park and dinner reservations in another park on a given day. They’re not guessing.

I agree, I was just trying to point out that if your reservation is good all day and the park starts at capacity it’s been confusing people since they also allow park hopping. I also don’t believe that with park hopping they have always been under the stated capacity (especially MK and HS). I’m sure they don’t let it get out of control which is why they reserve the right to stop park hopping, but the current park hopping and capacity system has been encouraging people to buy tickets and reserve AK and Epcot, but the people want to go to MK and HS.

They already know who has a reservation for a park on a certain day. Wouldn't surprise me to find that park capacity is X% above what they allow reservations for in order to accommodate park hoppers.
