I read another post about someones park passes being demagnatized and was just wondering if there was anything at the airport that would do this. I will be carrying my MVMCP passes with me in a fanny pack through the airport and didnt know if any scanners or anything else there could demagnatize them. Already freaking out about something happening to them before we get there. :dog:

This happened to my APs on my last trip. I had them in my wallet next to my credit cards and they de-magnetised. When I tried to use them to get in to Disney Studios they wouldn't work :earseek:

The CM on the gate allowed me in to get them renewed at Guest Services. They gave me new ones without any problems :)

There isn't anything at the airport that would demagnetize them. If there was, all the computers and digital devices (like cameras) would get erased going thru security.

I carried out passes through airport security without difficulty. The problem with cards demagnitizing is coming into contact with other magnetic strips like those on back of credit cards etc. Just keep your passes in a different area of your wallet etc away from credit cards or other type cards and you should be fine.

Even if they do demagnetize it will only take a minute or two to replace them. It happened to us twice during our one week stay a couple of months ago. Supposedly cell phones can demagnetize them too.

My husband's ticket was demagnitized twice last trip by his cell phone.
