Park pass availability as a crowd calendar?

Sorry if a similar question had already been asked. I did some quick looking but didn’t see anything.

does park reservation availability serve as a sort of crowd calendar? We are going on mid may and touring plans ranked most of the days we are there as almost dead. MK is rated as a crowd level “1” on the Monday we are there but park reservations seem to be totally gone across the board. I’m a little confused. Does this mean that more than likely it will be a VERY busy day at MK? The only day with any MK availability left was a Wednesday which touring plans rated as a “2” in terms of crowds.

I feel like I have no clue what I’m doing when it comes to Disney anymore.

Personally I think crowd calendars are useless right now. With the limited capacity and parks being consistently sold out, it’s basically the same every day crowd wise. The best advice is to rope drop. Get to the parks at least an hour before posted opening time and you’ll be able to do multiple rides with low waits. The same is true for the last hour or so before park close.

Thank you so much for the tips! So it’s safe to assume that if all reservations are gone for a park, that things will be relatively busy that day? Is it normal for non school break times to have parks other than HS totally booked?

Is it normal for non school break times to have parks other than HS totally booked?

Yes. More so this year with many people still virtual. Mid week seems to be the best park days with the lowest average waits.
