Park Hours in June?

We are going the 1st week in June (4-9) and none of the parks have very late hours? MK is scheduled to close at 9pm each night? I always thought the parks were open much later during the summer months? Are we too early for that? Or are we in front of the summer crowds that the park closing at 9 won't make a difference because we'll have it all completed in enough time? I just always remember it being busy, and thought some parks were open much later, and MK until 12 or 1am some nights? Anyone know if the hours will change?

We will be there in the same timeframe (June 3-12) and have visited that week for the last 4 years. As the dates grow closer, I fully expect to see the park hours extended as they have in the past. It is too early for the summertime crowds and it's considered to be a moderate crowd level until the 3rd/4th week of June.

We have been this same time period for 8 of our trips. We will be there this year again at the same time. As previous said, they "normally" extend hours as the dates grow closer. We are planning a Wednesday at MK because of PM EMH. In years past they would extend the closing time to 11 then EMH until 1 AM. I would expect they would do the same this year, or at least something similar. We got the email the other day that they are keeping Pandora open late for resort guests while we are there.

They'll probably be extended closer to the time you are going. I think its kind of sucky though because I need to know the park hours to figure out what day I'm doing what and fastpasses etc.

that's what I'm hoping will happen. But I guess if the crowds are light enough that we won't need late hours I guess that would be a plus too... Touch choice more hours, larger crowds, or small crowds with less time in the parks... Since we have so long between trips I'd rather have more time in the park!!

Every year round about 2 weeks before they up the hours...one year it was a week out !!

They've already started extending hours. I noticed today while trying to nail down my FP plan that they moved back closing time to 9:30 pm for HS (originally 8:30).

We go this same week every other year. 2 years ago, they changed the week before and stupid me didn't see it until we were already in the world. They actually opened MK at 8am every day IIRC.

Bottom line is you can expect the hours to change. Likely MK will be 9-11PM with MEMH at 8am and EEMH from 11-1am.

They've already started extending hours. I noticed today while trying to nail down my FP plan that they moved back closing time to 9:30 pm for HS (originally 8:30).

Yes, they released Star Wars fireworks and dessert party dates through July 31st so that's when the extended DHS hours. They never extend Epcot and AK is also already extended. MK is all we are waiting on and last year it was mid May when they extended to 11 or 12, then a little closer they added in some 8am openings.

I'm hoping maybe they do it earlier this year since all the others have been set but I won't count on it.

I was just looking at some threads I was following before our trip last June. It was NOT UNTIL June 2nd that they added in the 8am openings. I hope they don't wait that long this year. I need more time to adjust my plans!

We will be there in June too, as others have said Disney waits to the last minute to update their hours. It really makes preplanning difficult.

I used to book preopening breakfast at MK just to get in early. As the time came for us to go, Disney would reset their morning hours to 8 AM. Making breakfast reservations practically useless.

Now those reservations are useless because everyone gets in early opening at 9 AM or not.

They say PPO at BOG will still get you a ride on 7DMT before the rope drop crowd gets there.
