Park hopping between Epcot and DHS

We are heading down for a quick trip in early March.
Only have 3 park days, so we are doing a day in MK, a day at AK and want to park hop between Epcot and DHS our last day. Neither park has EMH that day, so is there any advantage to hitting one of these particular parks in the morning? Or does it not matter in which order we do them?
Thanks, y'all!!

Depends on whether you want to see Fantasmic! or IllumiNations.

World showcase doesn't open until 11:00am, so if you are interested in that portion of Epcot it may be better to hit Hollywood Studios in the morning.

ok, how did I miss that??? Thanks, jcdean, that makes the decision much easier!

It also depends on how you want to use your FP's. Soarin' will be down, so that means using your three FP's on just one headliner at EP. I would rope drop Test Track, and then work my way through Future World in the morning when you won't need FP's. Then, I'd hit World Showcase for lunch, and save the FP's for HS.

Of course, as Robo said, if you'd rather see Illuminations than Fantasmic, that makes a difference. But, if your trip falls on or before 3/19, you'd also be able to see the Star Wars fireworks at HS, which are supposed to be outstanding.

We are primarily only going to HS for Star Wars stuff. Daughter wants to do the Jedi Training Academy, so I'm thinking that would also lend itself to going to HS first in order to get her on the list??
For Epcot, mainly just going for the World Showcase and to see Flower & Garden.
Test Track doesn't seem to be of interest to anyone in our group, so def using FP at HS no matter when we go.

Sounds like you figured it out ;)

And, barring an earlier than expected start to Rivers Of Life at AK, you might want to consider hopping to DHS for Fantasmic and/or Star Wars fireworks on your AK day.

This is going to sound blasphemous, but we are not actually going to any fireworks!:duck:Im fine with moving crowds (if that makes sense), but just the thought of standing in and trying to leave the park at the same time as a huge crowd makes me anxious! Thinking this is partly due to being 5'1. Ha!

We are doing the Pirates & Pals fireworks cruise one night as a way to see Wishes.

Thanks everyone, it really helped 'talking' it out.

I think Illuminations is one of the best "fireworks" to watch and still miss that herding cattle feeling when leaving. Just stake out a spot on the far side of WS (Japan, America, etc). Once Illuminations is over, just hang out for a bit and slowly walk toward the front entrance. Make sure you stop around the Innoventions buildings to see the "fireworks" in the sidewalk! EP is just so large, that you don't get the same crowdedness leaving afterward that you do in the other two.

We don't ever "leave the park at the same time as a huge crowd."

HS first for sure! And depending on your transporation situation you can take the boat over to EP and enter the park in World Showcase.

We have actually parked at and started the day at DHS, took the boat to Epcot, and then went back to DHS for Fantasmic. We did this last March. This works well, especially if DHS is closing later than Epcot, which it was.
