Park Hopping before upgrading-Last Day?

Thanks to everyone that told me i can upgrade my pass to an AP on the last day of my park hopper before i leave the park. But i have one more question, can i hop before i do it. We would be upgrading to the AP with black out dates, so could not enter a park after i do the upgrade. So could i go to Epcot this morning, then hop to AK this afternoon and upgrade before i leave AK? Or do i need to upgrade before i leave Epcot and forget about AK? Hope that makes sense.

You would have to upgrade before hand as your current pass does NOT include hopping.

I do have hopping on my current ticket, its a 10 day hopper, with one day left (today) Thanks.

I will be doing this over Easter week. Did you have any issues upgrading your tickets to the AP with black out dates?

No I didn't have any problems. I had one day left on my hopper on Christmas day. Used it at Epcot and at the end of our day went to the guest services and paid for the gold pass with the DVC discount. No problem at all.
