we arrive on 10/8 and check out on 10/13 I have a 5 day park hopper tickets...does that mean I can use them 10/8-10/12 we will not be going to any parks on 10/13 due to an early flight time

No reason you can't use them from 10/8 to 10/12.

Standard tickets are now good for 14 days from first use. So if you use your first day on 8 Oct you can use them up till 21 Oct.

yes, that is 5 days 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th
