Has anyone been to Paradise Beach in Cozumel? I have heard that it is a good altenative to some of the crowded beach excursions. Any inof is appreciated!!

We LOVED it. It's a 10 minute cab ride. Everything is so new and clean. There's no fee to get in. They set you up with chairs and an umbrella and a waiter to bring you drinks or lunch if you want. They request you do not bring in outside food and drinks. Food was very good and reasonable as well. There is a water trampoline and iceberg as well as free floating mats. Best of all it was not crowded, about half full, lots ofg room to play and swim.
Three adults ate and drank all day and the bill was about $85-better than an excursion in my opinion and cheaper too.

They have a web site that I just went to, it looks great. I think we may give it a try when we go in just 4 weeks!

I haven't seen their website. In fact, I didn't think Paradise Beach has a website yet -- maybe it's new. Paradise Beach just opened last November.

We were there in early February and we really enjoyed it. It's between Playa Sol and Playa San Francisco. As mentioned, everything was new and clean... the beach chairs, the float mats, kayaks, bathrooms. In fact, there was someone frequently going into the ladies room sweeping up the sand (and I guess cleaning it too).

We had small children (5, 4, and 2) and they really enjoyed the kayaks (one child with an adult per kayak is what we did). The two older ones enjoyed the trampoline. I enjoyed floating on a mat. :smooth:

We ordered drinks and lunch while we were there and everything was good and reasonably priced.

We have been to Playa Sol and Mr. Sanchos too, and I like this one best (although we did enjoy Mr. Sanchos -- there was a bigger beach at Paradise Beach). I would definitely go back to Paradise Beach! :jumping3:

I found the website through a google search. That looks like a great beach and so clean! The next time we go western we will have to try this new beach. Kathy

Thank you all so much. That sounds like an overwhelming positive response. We will definatley give it a try. With three young children, the excursions can get real expensive but a short cab ride is much more manageable!!

We had such a great time at Paradise Beach when we were there on our Jan 31/04 cruise that we completely lost track of time and realized that we would miss our early dinner seating. It is the best beach that I've visited out of all the ports on eastern and western (for cleanliness and things to do). The only thing is you might want to wear water shoes because it is a bit rocky until you are well into the water. It is definitely appropriately named as it is paradise...
