Does anyone know where the best seats are in each park for the parade's and fireworks shows? Also how early do you have to line up to get a good seat?

Thanks!

Just following up to see if anyone has any information... I am particularly hoping for information about when to grab seats for parades, fireworks, etc. But, I wouldn't mind hearing about great spots to watch from! :) Thanks!

For Wishes, DEFINITELY watch from Main Street, up near the Hub by the castle. Some people will say that you can see the fireworks really well from back in Fantasyland or some of the other lands, but the castle is part of the show! In my opinion, you MUST be on Main Street ::yes::

For the Disney Dreams Come True parade at MK, it's good to watch at the end of Main Street where you enter the park. I'd suggest sitting on the right side of the street (if you're looking towards the castle). That way the "3 o'clock parade" actually will start at 3:00! It starts on Main St. so it will start at 3 and be over for you before people watching in Frontierland will even see the beginning! Then you could head off and easily get to Tomorrowland, Toontown, Fantasyland and Liberty Square. If you sit on the left side of the street you'll be able to get to Adventureland and Frontierland but then get stuck behind the parade if you want to go any further.

For Spectro at MK, it's the opposite. That parade starts in Frontierland near Splash Mountain so I'd suggest watching from there! Beware: if you don't want to watch Spectro (for some strange reason!) and you're over by Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain when it starts you might get stuck there for a while and have to watch it anyway! Oh, and if Spectro has two parades in one night, the second one is always less crowded. And it's less crowded to watch in Frontierland than pretty much anywhere else.

I can't tell you much about where to watch parades and fireworks at the other parks, but I am an MK expert!

Well, first I should figure out your definition of a "seat". If you mean an actual seat, you probably going to be disappointed. Even if you actually got a bench, someone will probably stand in front of you and ruin your view. Your best bet for a bench seat with a view is at Epcot. Now this depends on the time of year that you are going but we can typically get a bench seat in World Showcase 1/2 hr to 45 minutes before Illuminations. We try to get one as close to the railings as possible so people won't stand in front of us. However at the other parks, if you get a bench seat, people will stand in front of you. My suggestion is to grab a "seat" on the sidewalk edge along the parade route and wait there. It's considered bad parade manners to "hold" spots so don't expect to be able to sit there and hold spots for the rest of your party while they are of riding rides...people will complain.

We only watch the parades/fireworks at MK and the fireworks at Epcot so we tend to try to get as close to the front of the park as possible to watch. That way, when the fireworks have ended and there are massive bottlenecks at the gates and lines at the buses, we have a headstart! We also always watch the finale of WISHES in the bus line!!!
