Is it maintenance, breakage, cleaning, what?
Are we talking about only the studio units?
I've read that people are bringing their own plates/silver even an electric frying pan...but if you fly, this can get cumbersome.
One could at least expect PLASTIC...maybe even Mickey plastic. And then charge people if they go missing.
What about glassware...wine glasses?
I guess since I'm an owner now (first visit in May) I really should find out exactly WHAT is in the kitchens..esp in the studios.
So, would any one be willing to list what is there?
Thanks

Real plates, silverware, grill ware and actually cooking utensils for the same basic amenities and space. It would take very little cost and effort to do so and would enhance the studios greatly.
As a rule no, Marriott's Grande Vista doesn't have a dishwasher. I find DVC members make too many assumptions about timeshare (both good and bad) in general based on their own perception of DVC. It's not that big a deal to swap them out and wash them in the 1 BR on cleaning day for a lockoff, or just to swap out clean for dirty when needed. I've always thought this an area where DVC missed the boat but it'd be fairly easy to rectify upon hard refurbishment.ParrotAtOKW said:Do the studios at those other places also have dishwashers? I've always supposed that the reason for the disposables in the DVC studios was the lack of a dishwasher.
When staying in the studios, we bring our own "stoneware" disposable dishes and real silverware, supplemented with stuff from Walgrens or somewhere if needed.
Not alone. We take our own, which is also faintly ridiculous.coolcats said:Am I alone in finding the supply of paper plates faintly ridiculous in DVC Studios? !!![]()
