paper navagators

Yes. They will look like this:

You can go to Disney Cruise Line Blog website (don’t click in the highlighted words here) if you want a clearer photo.

This one sheet, 2-sided version is delivered each night for the following day. Also available at Guest Services.

On the Fantasy in June, we asked for a paper navigator from Guest Services. The cast member asked if we would like to have a navigator delivered to our stateroom for the remainder of the cruise. Each night, a navigator was delivered in an envelope and left at our door.

What's the latest word on getting paper navigators delivered to the room? Can it be (reliably!) coordinated with guest services? If I slip the stateroom host a generous tip, will he/she deliver them daily? How early will they arrive?

I know that stopping by the desk is an option. I've done that in the past. But there is some element of hassle. In a perfect world, we'd have it in-hand first thing in the morning to review when getting dressed.

You could also theoretically pick up a cheap tablet from Amazon to run the Navigator. It doesn't have to be a smart phone.

Last May (Magic) and Sep (Fantasy), they were in our beds at Turn Down, nightly, without having to ask. Just like the old days.

Wish they had the old version with the grids.. but this is good enough and it makes me happy they have them.. I guess it helped complaining in the surveys about the paper navigators not being available... a lot of us sail DCL to try to disconnect a little from the daily dependance of phones/internet (emphasis on 'try' - for me it's virtually impossible to be 100% disconnected from the world)

I think it depends on your host. We have asked ours quite a few years ago and were told no. We asked another host maybe 2 years ago and he gave us a couple in the room. In general we just stop at GS on our way back from the bar at night and they print us out one.

On a funny note, the first night we did this on our Fantasy cruise is August, the CM gave us that day's. It was pretty much midnight. :rotfl: We went back around and someone else helped us (he was on the phone) and they just shook their head. They got us Sunday's.

Maybe I look like I would rather use paper than app. 🤔

Did I ask and forget? It wasn’t the same as trying to track down our CC gifts when they moved our room assignment. That was memorable.

I do tend to erase some memories. And others, even more insignificant, with no emotional tie-in, just cling to my gray matter.

Could be my revisionist history, thinking I have had such a good life. Weeding out slights and missteps. May we all be so fortunate.

And next cruise - I hope you are gifted with a nightly turn-down service of paper Navigators!

Thanks for your Moderator service.
