Panama Canal Eastbound Sept. 14, 2013--it'll be WONDER-ful

Sorry for not keeping up on the "Boards," Candy and I have been very busy.

I have tried to keep a list of those who have expressed interest in grouping together to book a shuttle to Hobby Airport...

RanCan......... 2
Pahrumpgirl.... 4
DTA87........... 2
CruzOle......... 2
TheKoeppens.. 2
Sparky47....... 4
Caniac27....... 4
TwinRX......... 1
Umbriagal...... 1
denamo......... 2

Total: 24

PLEASE...confirm that you are still interested and that I have the number in your group correct.

Also, if there is anyone else that is interested please let me know.

I believe all those listed above have flights that depart 2PM or later, so what time would everyone suggest that we schedule the shuttle for??? :confused3

Let me know and I can make arrangements. Unless of course, someone else would like to take the lead on this...:rolleyes1

Thanks for all of the welcomes!!

Denine, so sorry about your dad!! :grouphug:

Renee, we would love to do the YES program but that would be just too many missed days of school for my kiddos!

I have been MIA. Busy with soft ball, plus my dad died 2 weeks ago. Trying to get back on track.
We still need to book Paradise Pier for before the cruise and order a birthday cake for DD. This will be her first birthday since being dx'd with celiac disease and I want to make it special. I know turning 11 on a Disney cruise is pretty special though. We also need to book transportation pre and post cruise. All in due time.

In the mean time, we have an all star softball game today.

So sorry for your loss:sad1:

FYI. I have been GF on my last 2 DCL cruises and they are great about it.

We would still be interested. I would prefer to depart early to eliminate any stress. We fly at 2:30 so departing at 10 or sooner is great

Since the ship isn't scheduled to dock until 9 AM we may find it hard to be off by ten due to fog and customs. Would have to check with transport company to see what they suggest . We leave at 2:10 so will want to get to airport at least 2 hrs early if possible.

We are still interested in the group transportion and the # for Sparky47 is correct. Our flight leaves at 3:45 but we will leave port as early as we can/need to leave. If we are at the airport early enough, our nephew may join us for lunch so working the schedule around the person who needs to be there earliest is fine by us. Thank you!

I'm new to the group (and to Disney cruises), but I'd be interested in the transportation to Hobby. I'm traveling solo, with a flight that leaves at ~3.:30 pm.

I had originally planned a trip to Egypt this year, but I just don't have the energy to deal with all the upheavals caused by the revolution, so I'm going to cruise through the Canal on a Disney verandah instead!

The prices on the remaining rooms are out of this world!!

4-5K for a inside room (for 2)

Thank you all for your condolences. It has been difficult, but I know my dad is in a better place.

Welcome to any new cruisers!

I am so looking forward to relaxing on the ship for 2 weeks!

I saw this as well. So glad to be able to book this cruise at such a good deal on a gty veranda. I know I would not be going at the current fares.

Looks like the ship will be pretty full. I was kind-of hoping it wouldn't be. I like the idea of not being crowded. Guess we won't really know what it's like 'till we're there. I'm sure we'll love it in any case.

Guess my wrist surgery last week is affecting me more than I thought. This is the only negative thought I've had about our trip. Maybe a nap and reading more on the boards will help.:thumbsup2

I can't send PMs yet, so here are my answers to your questions about transportation to Hobby:

I'll have one carry-on size roller bag, and a small backpack (I travel light!)
I need to be at Hobby no later than 1:00, so your suggested pick-up time sounds fine.

Thanks for organizing this!

Mark.... Go price our cabins out now. When I priced WBPC in May verandah for 3 that we paid $3600 for was over $10,000. I'm thinking how can people afford those prices.

I was thinking the same thing ;) but on our last cruise the ship never felt crowded a lot of the rooms only had 2 people in them! I don't think there will be a line for the upgrade counter!
I hope your wrist heals quickly!

We always get photo pass CDs at WDW. I know they offer CDs in cruises but I can't find the price for a 14 night cruise. Any opinion on of it worth it??

I looked into it on a 4 day and it was much more expensive than Photo Pass. Since our grown kids and family were traveling with us, thought I would see if we could get all pictures on the same CD but was told they couldn't do it. Also, you can't add borders to them the way you can Photo Pass. Unless you intend to get every picture and have kids you want every picture of (since they seem to take more of the kids) you are probably better off just getting a large package where they will refund the money for the ones you don't use. Sure wish they would bring Photo Pass to the ships. (:-(
