Panama Canal Eastbound Sept. 14, 2013--it'll be WONDER-ful

I have not seen Halloween Party yet for DL...just WDW for that date - did you find it listed somewhere?

That was my fault. I misread the info. The Halloween decorations are up as of the 13th, but the party isn't starting til the end of the month. Oh well... We will get to see Haunted Mansion Holiday, which will be awesome.

Hopefully it's nightmare before Christmas theme again. Our gran loves Jack!

I've always done late dining with my kids so we can take full advantage of activities during the day then have plenty of time to get cleaned up and go to dinner. It has always been our last thing of the evening to eat then head to bed. My daughter was 3,4 and 8 years old for our cruises and did fine with the late dining. She was definitely ready for bed after!

How 'bout them Noles!!! ;)

The boys do tend push back on their bedtime on vacation. Maybe the time change will counteract this and they will end up going to bed at a reasonable time.

We live by UCF. Our sons graduated from winter park and university high schools. Been here since 87.

It's a small world (after all!). My mom got a job at UCF and we moved to Orlando in 72. My dad got a job at WDW. I went to UCF for undergrad and we lived in Eastwood before we moved to NC 7 years ago.

We love late dining with the kids due to Dine and Play! We have a 7 & 9 yr old. It makes for a much more enjoyable dinner and our kids love the earlier show time.

I DO like the dine and play... I guess I'll just keep the late dining I guess...

We're retired Navy too! I hope you got the same awesome deal we did.
We decided to take the sure thing with the OGT before the Military rate came out. We may be a bit more patient in the future. But we still got a really good deal.:) We had originally booked an inside but are saving money and have an oceanview!:cool1:

When I saw DAWGS I thought Huskies--UW. We're across Puget Sound from Seattle.

We have good friends in Eastwood. We are headed to nc next month. Sister is in Lake Gaston. We will be visiting our friends on Winston Salem also.

Not sure where Lake Gaston is. We live about 2 hours from WS just south of Raleigh, in Apex. I like living here but I miss my pool in Florida...

:coffee: Wow, haven't read the posts for a few days and come back and there are 5 more pages! Its moving along. :goodvibes See there are a few here that went on the Hawaii cruise. We did too. LOVED IT!

I'm glad decorations will be up! I really want to see the overlay! I think there will be villains in the parks on the 13th so it may feel more like a party.

I hate to do this but we re going to have to pull out of the FE program, we work 7 days a week and just have no time to get organised. I know you will all have fun.
See you all on the cruise.
Michelle

Sorry to lose you in the FE, but totally understand.

Hello fellow cruisers. I am trying to plan transportation for two from the airport to Paradise Pier then from hotel to the cruise ship terminal in San Pedro and again from cruise terminal in Galveston to Houston's hobby airport. What suggestions do any of you have? I am checking shuttles, would not mind sharing rides. Our flight from Texas is at 2:30. We are coming into LAX on the 12th at 11:40am. What does anyone think? :moped:

We are taking the Disney shuttle from John Wayne airport to the Grand Californian and decided to take the Disney bus from there to the port. DH just didn't want to worry with anything, so he said do that. Our kids are picking us up in Galveston and driving us home so we do not have to worry about that part.

We are staying across the street at Paradise Pier. Arriving on the 12 - checking out the 14th. :wave2:

We stayed there last yr but had the opportunity to move to GC for about $40 more a nite so we did it. Hoping to maybe meet up with some peeps while we're there.

Checking in for PC cruise. First day of the cruise is my birthday. First time Disney cruise for all of us! Go big or go home is my motto! It will be me, DH, dd - almost 11 and ds - almost 9. I am glad to see there will be some kids near their ages.

Welcome "Mom" :wave2: This might be your first DCL but the real problem is that it is immediately addictive ::yes:: You can hardly wait for your next :hyper:

Yes - :welcome: Mom! And this is such a true statement!! In 2007 when my brother/sis-in-law asked us to join them on their first cruise we said NO! Imagine that! But we quickly changed on our minds. Since the Eastern cruise in 2007 we cruised in 2009 (Eastern), 2010 (Transatlantic), 2011 (Western) and 2012 (Hawaii). This will be our 6th cruise but our 3rd two week cruise (all on dcl). And it's just 4 adults who travel! Love the beauty of the ships and the level of service; it's great to see kids but nice that there are areas for adults only. Love the ports but love the sea days. (We didn't start all of this cruising until our kids were grown up...i can imagine how many cruises we would have under our belts if we started years ago! then again, there's only so much money to go around:mad:)
