Our first Disney cruise was a 14-nighter also, the west bound trans-Atlantic and it was my favorite cruise every (so far).


It will be me, DH, dd - almost 11 and ds - almost 9. I am glad to see there will be some kids near their ages.

Welcome! Glad to see more kids! Let me know if you are interested in doing a YES program with the kids at Disneyland before we sail - like on the 12th - it is a great program and you get discount tickets. We are trying to get a group together!

I'm at a loss for that one. I figured after being gone for almost 3 weeks I'd be ready to leave. Hoping to be on a plane home by 12:30 pm the 28th.

We have stayed in Galveston frequently but not Houston - we did our Honeymoon at the Holiday Inn but that was over 10 years ago - more recently we stayed at the Galvez and Holiday Inn Vacation Club (Escapes). Both were nice and there are some great places to eat. The Pappa's restaurants originated in Houston and are all really good - they have Mexican, Cajun and Burger places.

We stayed here for 5 nights in 2011 it was a great hotel the staff were all awesome, breakfast was great not far from most things but I really don't know how far it was to the airport we were driving.

I have been MIA. Busy with soft ball, plus my dad died 2 weeks ago. Trying to get back on track.
We still need to book Paradise Pier for before the cruise and order a birthday cake for DD. This will be her first birthday since being dx'd with celiac disease and I want to make it special. I know turning 11 on a Disney cruise is pretty special though. We also need to book transportation pre and post cruise. All in due time.

In the mean time, we have an all star softball game today.

Didn't think I had seen you for a while. Sorry for your loss, lost my dad back in 75 at a very early age and I still miss him dearly.

I am sure your DD will have a fantastic time! I have not planned on a special birthday cake for my DD, since her favorite is cheesecake and I will just make sure she has plenty of that. I am taking her to the Lion King musical when we come back home for an additional birthday present!
