Panama Canal Eastbound Sept. 14, 2013--it'll be WONDER-ful

Jan, I'm glad Dave did well with his surgery.:cool1:

Dave is doing well post-surgery. I am proud of his determination to get back to "normal". His goal is to get onboard the Disney Magic this November.

One of the things I LOVE about the DIS boards is that you guys are fanatics about Disney travel like me! It makes me feel more normal!

We're normal????!!!!

Thanks Kathy, MPS and Jan for sharing in my excitement...:yay:

Yep, the excitement never goes away. I'm just as excited to board the Magic this November and the Wonder next September as I was the first time I boarded the Magic in 1999.

:thumbsup2

Jan

Congrats to Kaleigh!!! :cheer2: What great accomplishments.

Jan

Thanks! We are very proud of her.

Soft ball practice started this week...again. Kaleigh loves it though. They will play 2 games on Sundays for 6 weeks. She will miss the last game though since we will be in Disney!

Jandave: Glad the surgery went well and the recovery has begun!

Looks like you will beat us to WDW by about 5 weeks, we are spending Thanksgiving.

Well it had to happen, looks like 3 cases of a new strain H1N2 at the Fair, one teenage girl exhibiting and 2 related from extended time in the barn. :sad1:

Its sad but the worst part will be having to see the U of M research Epidemiologist run around telling everyone he told you so. :sad2: Everytime there is a threat of something new he comes out predicting worldwide epidemic :scared1:

Its sad but we will just have to see what happens, it was not fairgoers but instead exhibitors and handlers, judging this weekend so I hope they don't over react and shut everything down.

Sorry!

Happy Labor Day everyone! A little over a year and we will get to meet each other. (:-)

we are official ...

Brenda & Jason
cabin #7068
late dinner seating

this will be our 5th Disney cruise; first time on the Wonder. thrilled to finally make it to a PC cruise - we've been wanting one for years now but the timing was always bad.

Greatings Brenda and Jason,

The Wonder is our favorite ship, hope you are going to enjoy her as much as we do.

:welcome: Official greetings to Brenda and Jason!!

We have been on the Wonder twice. In fact the room we picked for this cruise is the one we were in on our first cruise. We really loved it and since our daughter was not with us then we wanted her to experience it also. :thumbsup2

Youalleverybody is doing a great job of keeping the roll call on page 1 (pat on the back to you girl!!), but I want to remind y'all of all the extras we have so far. I am keeping a list of them for us. . . so if you want to be added to any of them please let me know. . . anyway we have

The FE gift exchange

The state postcard/recipe exchange

The wine tasting - host Iceman93 in the Walt Disney Suite

Iceman93, this is my official thank you for the invite and we will also accept!!

We will decide on the official cutoff date for the two exchanges closer to sailing. Most choose 30 - 60 days.
Iceman93 can decide if he has a certain number he wants to invite or is it open?

Hope everyone had a relaxing Labor Day.

Welcome! This will be our 8th Disney, but 1st Wonder! Count us in on F/E and I am excited about wine tasting in the suite!

Welcome Brenda & Jason!! While the Magic is our favorite ship, the Wonder comes in second.

MPS: How did the fair go? We didn't have any swine flu cases at our fair.

We had 3 but they were a rare strand, H1N2, one was the teenage exhibitor and the other two had direct ties to the exhibits and barns. We like to think it actually came from Iowa since the pig was from the southern most part of the state. If anyone is from Iowa of course I am just teasing.

We have only been on the Wonder (2) and the Fantasy (1) and each has things about them that could make them my favorite. When we were on the Wonder, we thought it was huge, but the Fantasy really was!!!
So far I really don't have a favorite, although the Wonder is special to me since it was our first.

Our Texas State Fair starts the end of this month and they have already had a segment on the news recommending that people don't take strollers and pacifiers into the barn areas. I don't remember there being any issues at our county fair, so I guess we lucked out there.

I have my first special magnet for my door that Milliepie made for me!! :yay:

The kids and I will be in WDW two weeks from today! Gotta start packing soon.

Thank you to everyone for the official welcomes and for adding us to the roll call! :goodvibes

If it's not too much trouble, please add us to the postcard / recipe exchange - that would be something I know we'd really enjoy and would have time to organize (work schedules are a bear so FE becomes too much for us to get our heads around).

The wine tasting would also be something we'd love to participate in, if it's open to all comers - we adore wine (and most other forms of booze as well .. haha). We'd be happy to bring some Missouri Norton to share - it's a grape varietal that is only found in our state and makes quite a tasty red wine.

I hope to spend more time chatting in the upcoming months - going through a major bank conversion at my current employer and it's long hours and lots of stress right now. Vacation coming up next month, though, so it's all good! :thumbsup2
