Panama Canal Eastbound Sept. 14, 2013--it'll be WONDER-ful

When will the final FE list be posted? or PM? I started working on them but it looks like I have a lot to go. ;)

Nice! I was on the first 2005 crossing and the Wonder's first crossing in 2011, so this will be my 3rd crossing but my first time heading eastbound. I hope the time changes don't mess me up too much. I had a heck of a time on the westbounds with waking up earlier and earlier every day. I know that by the end of the 2005 cruise, I was up and out of the cabin by 5am every morning sitting at a computer in the promenade lounge waiting for Topsiders to open. I specifically booked OGT instead of IGT so I'll be able to get some help from the daylight cues in the morning to help with the "jetlag".

I'm starting to feel like this trip will be here before I know it; it's feeling more "real" instead of just "planning". USAir finally dropped the pricing for the IAH-PVD on the 28th so I snagged my flight (1:50pm departure since DCL told me they were recommending return flights after 1:30pm). I'll be adding their transfer since the $30 seems like a good deal for a single. I also had them check my reservation and apply the DCC onboard credit offer since I'd paid with Disney Visa.

We also did the first 2005 crossing on the Magic with our son. This will be first time going eastbound and we will be leaving our son behind.

We are almost up to 100 pages on this roll call :cool1: We are going on a Carnival Cruise out of Port Canaveral on August 10th and will be spending a few days with our daughter who lives in the Orlando area. My daughter says we will be visiting Mickey's place for a day (I can't figure out who this Mickey is) :confused3

Looking forward to our cruise in February, this will be our 6th cruise and our 1st Disney Cruise. Flying to Los Angeles and since we live in the Houston area (Richmond, TX) a relative will pick us up in Galveston. :dance3:

Have to say that our weather has been better than great and expect it to continue for at least the next week, can't imagine leaving this for August in Orlando. Visiting daughter would be a good reason however.

We have cruised Carnival, Royal, Louis, Norwegian, and Celebrity no one compares to Disney, this will be our 8th DCL. :boat:

and great news, you don't have to wait till February - we leave in 6 weeks :lmao:

What we've done in the past is say that anyone who joined after the cutoff date will be included since we don't want to leave anyone out IF the person giving has enough FE gifts. It will be up to the individual giving out the gifts.

I like this as I ordered my supplies first thing this morning for personalized gifts. I only have a few extra (for oopsies). If I do have any left I will happily include as many of those who signed up late as possible.

I have gone ahead and put DisTurtle on the list since they joined the roll call a while back. That is the last one I plan on adding without going thru . . . . I will tell you how I work it if it arises again.

That gives our final count at 34 cabins, with 1 dog, 11 boys and 14 girls.

If you don't have the link to the FE document please let me know and the two that have less than 10 posts, hurry and talk to us more so that I can pm you the list!!!

Any questions, please let me know.

Thank you all for allowing us to join the FE late. We have cruised Disney before, but this is the first time we have joined the DISboards and the FE. We are military coming from Guam and my parents will be meeting us in LA to join us on their first-ever cruise. They will not be participating in the FE with us. I'll get busy getting more goodies together. I have been looking at Facebook posts for additional ideas and the DISboard threads are helpful as well. Thank again everyone for helping out the newbie:)

Looking forward to the cruise, but not the 15 hours in the airplane it takes to get to LA. Anyone a night owl. We are 11 hours ahead of PST, so when you are getting up in the morning, we are winding down for the evening.

Does anyone know if they offer the same price for the photo disk on the 14 night cruises as they offer on the 7 night. The cruises seem to be the only time we can manage to get a decent family photo taken, and the photos are always excellent.

This will be our first cruise longer than 7 days. Do they offer more activities on the longer cruises, or just repeat what they currently do during the 7 day cruise the second week?

If I remember correctly from reading on here it's $399 but don't hold me to that ;)

I think I have seen information on one of the threads, but I can't seem to locate it. I tried searching fish extenders on EBay and cannot get any results either. Does anyone know where I can order a fish extender? I have a pattern to make one, but in the interest of dedicating time to making FE gifts, I will probably order one.

I hear you on the 15 hours plane flight sounds like your in almost the same time zone as us.
